@VaishS You should raise that amount to $75 so you get the application fee back

@VaishS Well if I get into Michigan, I pay her $5 and if I donât get in, I get $5. The bizarre thing is that sheâs a HARDCORE State fan and sheâs betting that I will get into Michigan, and I think she secretly hopes I wonât get in.
2 WEEKS 12 MINS
Will it be declared @ 5PM EST?. Wonder how they will notify in every applicantâs portal at the same time?
Maybe all portal accesses will be blocked for 24 hours until results are entered?
Was CollegeBoard able to release all AP scores at 8:00 am?
@TheWaffleMan149 no one year I tried to check at 8:00 AM and college board said the server is too busy please check back later. Hoping Penn doesnât do the same. Iâd be mad if I try to gather enough courage to check for 15 minutes and then see no results.
@TheWaffleMan149 I wouldnât knowâŠtried to check at 8 AM, but I ended up getting myself locked out of my account for the next hour.
Interesting. I would bet that Penn is going to get the decisions up the day(s) before. I am sure they know what they are doing
Most likely they will lock out the applicant portal logins for sometime and allow access to all after 5PM EST on Dec 11.
Do we even know 5pm for sure?
Yes it said 5 in the article according to dean furda
Ok
Thatâs pretty normal. That also helps the admissions office to delay the crazy phone calls till Monday morning.
Give the absolute loons some time to cool down
The amount of Penn applicants vs. CollegeBoard test-takers is vastly different. Also, how it works (presumably) is that they create a separate link to decisions and block access to said link. Then they upload the decisions en masse before 5pm EST, check to see that their servers are ready to handle the load, and then allow access to the page if you have a valid Penn Portal account.
Right. CollegeBoard had way more testers than Penn did ED applicants
CB traffic load is way more than uPenn. If there are 1.5 Million HS students most of them take exams with CB as compared to a mere <6000 ED to UPenn.
That would be so infuriating. If suddenly the server crashed or something and other people knew their decisions but you didnât.
I will have to spend a few hours mentally preparing myself after school to check my decision
