Penn Convocation

Is it mandatory to attend? Will we miss out on anything important if we don’t attend?

Could someone also tell me where on campus and when the convocation takes place and also how long it is?, or just forward me the email since I accidentally deleted the email I received about it from Penn lol.

bump anyone?

^ Thanks lol, this whole moving in thing has been such a hassle so far

I’m attending. It should be a memorable event. Hoping to take lots of pictures. :)

Couldn’t agree more!

^ Even more since I haven’t been able to attend anything related to NSO either since I haven’t had time etc., btw what college house are you in? I’m in riepe-ward

Wait btw where’s “college green”? I can’t find it anywhere on the campus map? Is it just another name for “college hall”? Also is the “palestra” just another name for Franklin field?

College Green is the grassy area outside College Hall in between it and Van Pelt. Unless it’s different this year you should be led down there with your whole hall/college house. You’re supposed to go to it, and dessert afterward is very good.

The Palestra is a basketball stadium, Franklin Field is the football stadium.

^ k thanks for the info

It’s a lot more than that! It’s the “Cathedral of College Basketball.” :)

I found college green as it was right behind college hall, as for palestra I’m not even going to bother trying to find it since I won’t even bother going if it rains lol
