Thanksgiving break is primarily for students. I think administrative staff should still work from Monday to Wednesday, at least for a half day on Wednesday.

There’s no long process: You just declare that’s what you want to be and then you meet benchmarks each semester – the challenge is to stay in 
You will take freshman seminars with Schreyer students (especially 137-138 which is a cool, unified class with field trips, covering English&CAS credits), will have access to honors classes for your gen eds and major, extra mentorship, and special scholarships you can apply to; if admitted for Summer, there are dedicated LEAP prides. Students already in Schreyer can also be Paterno Fellows for the opportunities and extra mentorship.

Thank you!! I finally was able to get into LionPath this morning. All is good.
Just chiming in here as an administrative staff at a university that lots of people take the whole week off. Not sure on the admissions staff at this time of year, but I only have one person in my staff of 10 who will be working next week (I’m working too, at least Monday and Tuesday).

Yes, but it is also a week that many take off … if one parent had the week off as a faculty, the other parent (ie. staff) may take time off also.
I’m just trying to set expectations that there may not be much activity next week.

Sorry if this was asked and answered elsewhere, but…if one applies to a particular school (in this case, Smeal), is there a scenario in which an applicant can be accepted for admission to UP but not to the specific school? Thanks.
Thoughts on UP DUS? 90 gpa, 31 act (32 super) 6 AP by end of senior year, some honors and college classes. Lots of EC’s, great essay.
This happened to my son 2 years ago. Did not get into Smeal directly. He got 2 + 2. So that was his only choice. He asked for reconsideration and got UP Fall admit. He is now picking his major in Smeal next semester. The only problem with my current senior is going through DUS to Smeal is not really an option anymore.

My sons best friend just got email to check portal. He got UP Summer. He applied DUS with a 4.4 weighted GPA and TO. We are waiting for DUS with similar stats.
Because Paterno personally donated the money for the students academics.
Paterno was not at fault for Sandusky. And he reported it up the chain.

Many times that can be a tie breaker.

He did. My son has similar weighted GPA but he is also in the IB program and his friend is not. I’m hoping that will help.
