Hi! Iâve been obsessively watching the Test Scores button. It disappeared tonight and we found the letter in Lionpath. My son was admitted Engineering UP Fall. 3.6UW, 4.1W, 1440, 8 APs, OOS (Florida) private school.

Just accepted into fall session accounting for Smeal at UP - saw through LionPath and am super relieved!
Stats:
4.0 UW GPA, 8 APs with 3 scores submitted (two 4s and a 5) and currently taking Calc BC this year, Test Optional.

Any interpretation of if my daughterâs place in her schools scattergram of PSU applicants within the past few years? Would having other students like her be admitted from our school give her any better of a chance?
Thursday night at 7 test button disappeared, Received acceptance email at 12:10 am (Friday)âwe could not get onto LionPath until Friday morning around 8 am.

Donât freak out if you canât get into LionPath right awayâfor some reason we couldnât get into it until the following morning.
Does smeal admit to the specific major? I thought it was just pre-business.
If his class rank indicates his 3.6-3.7 UW is solid for his school itâs different than if itâs just presented as is, since your school wouldnât be known.
Energy Finance is more scienc-y so it fits with his profile well and itâs less competitive than direct Smeal because fewer students apply, so it was a very good choice.
He definitely has a shot (his GPA is average for people admitted+rigor is good, and thatâs 2/3 decision right there). He logically should hear in December.

Did you submit your SAT score?
Itâs a good indication, except scattergrams include all admissions, meaning Fall, Summer, reconsideration, 2+2. We wouldnât know whether students with her profile got into Altoona or UP, what major they applied to.

My daughterâs acceptance letter says pre-business. She didnât know what to choose and we thought everyone was pre-business. Then before her second year she would choose her major if she has the mandatory GPA for it.

3.82uW 6.5w test optional, 4 years of honors Spanish, NHS and foreign Honor society, upwards trend towards 4.0 senior year, 2 ap stat-4 psych 5 others honors 1 de English class A+ I have taken an honors calc material class with an A
Sister is alum, great essay regarding speech impediment, 4 year varsity golf and baseball, volunteer hours with special needs athletes, top donor in thon club
Could you include a percentage for smeal and for DUS

Our son was just admitted this morning, in state to UP. Smeal, as an Accounting major. He has a 3.9 with 12 APâs and a 1470. He has an IEP for some challenges and has made such great progress over the years. So proud of him! He applied on 10/30. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

@jakemanpsu my best advice at this point is to walk away and give yourself a break. You will drive yourself insane constantly checking. I think youâve asked these questions previously and the short answer is that we donât really know.
Why not? This is the first year of Smeal direct admissions. We have no historical data to know where âthe lineâ will be drawn.
What I can say - in prior years, we would have recommended DUS with those stats. But obviously, the pathway to Smeal has changed. No one really knows what the Smeal stats will look like since their pre-business cohort will be larger and therefore, admitted stats will be âlowerâ than in the past.
The good news is that if you have not heard that you have the 2+2 already, you are still in the game. So take that as a positive. In the meantime, go for a walk, go play with the dog, go help mom in the kitchen. We will keep our fingers crossed for you!

GM, does that mean that most 2+2 decisions would have already been released even for DUS? Happy TG!
2 years ago my son got 2 + 2 for Smeal on December 20. Asked for reconsideration as DUS and got UP fall. It took about 6 weeks for reconsideration. So, I think most of the decisions are not even out yet! Itâs still early
What are my chances of getting into smeal? I have already been accepted to the communications schools, but I am asking for reconsideration for the business school. I have a 4.34 W GPA/ 3.97 UW GPA and applied test optional. I said yes to summer start and I am out of state.
No Change for our portal. We applied dus summer. Bad sign? OOS.
