Congrats to all the Smeal admits!
My son logged on to the portal this morning and there was an error message saying “we are working to resolve an issue”. Underneath was “information for accepted students”. He then rushed out the door for school. Anyone had this before and then got accepted? He said there was info for LEAP so maybe he got in for summer session
I guess we’ll have to wait until the issue is resolved.

Saw that PSU requires your full senior year grades. Mentions you need to maintain your grades or they can rescind their offer, does that mean just passing or putting up exceptional grades?

It means : No D no F no cheating no crime (no leeway on this however as long as you’re in the B C range you’re okay. Beware of Cs bc every year there are students who have a 74 during the semester and that C falls to a 68 with finals and
 bam, rescinded.)

My D submitted SRAR after Nov 1. Will it go into the regular admission cycle? Not yet heard anything from PSU.

D is in Smeal Fall 2024 UP! We are OOS and just heard last night. There is no rhyme to reason when these decisions come out so don’t lose hope! Even if you were deferred.

Yes, I believe Penn State wanted everything, including SRAR, by November 1 to be considered EA. It said so on their website

If she got summer start it means she’s already been considered for Fall. So reconsideration would be either for 2+2 or another major+summer. I don’t think asking for Fall+other major works but you can try if you’re ready to lose summer+#1major.

Yep!! You’re not alone. My daughter and some of her friends as well, while some of her other friends have known for well over a month. This process is wild.

Congratulations to all newly admitted students (and special :clap::clap: to the Smeal UP admits, as you now know, it’s a true achievement in itself.)
For everyone else, 48h and you’ll know for sure. Hang in there. It feels long as you’re waiting but the anguish will vanish once you have a decision. :crossed_fingers:
