@arlington2 no. if you think it gives your kid a better chance of the campus/semester admittance desired, I would email immediately.

Did anyone get a random ācongratulations on your child being admitted to PSUā email today/last night? Just asking b/c all of our correspondence has been from Altoona and this one said University Park and I know my daughter asked for re-consideration to UPā¦ Maybe Iām reading too much into it, but I have not looked on her portal.

Child was already accepted to Altoona 2/2 and asked for re-consideration to UP. This came directly to me, all of our other correspondence (physical mail, etc.) has said Altoonaā¦

anyone now see an option under accept offer to decline offer? I feel like this is new but I havnt looked in a little bit
LOLātoday in the mail she got correspondence from Altoona AND UP. Looks like she was admitted to UP!!!

What is the process to ask to be reconsidered ? My son was accepted to a 2/2 program as well.

Send an email asking for reconsideration for a new, less competitive major starting in the Summer.
(Summer start and a new major would be necessary for a new review.)
The new major you request should make sense based on the transcript.
I would stay away from DUS at this point as itās likely very nearly full.
Obviously no Smeal, no COE.

No. I would email and ask for a change of major now. As long as a decision hasnāt been made, the change can be made.

Ask her what her portal says regarding campus, major, and semester. If campus was changed to UP, it will now state UP rather than Altoona on the portal. I guess if IU (accepted) and JMU are her top two, it doesnāt really matter.

Hi all!! I was just admitted into the 2 plus 2 program at Penn State. I am an OOS student who chose my major as psychology. I also applied for the Schreyer Honors College. Penn State is one of my top choices and my Schreyers application and interview were REALLY good. My SAT score and ECās are also really good, and I attend a top-tier private school. The only thing that is lacking is my GPA due to mental health conditions during my first two years of high school. I want to still be in the race for honors college but know that will not be the case because I have to be admitted as a first-year student to UP. What can I do to get admitted to UP? I want them to reconsider me and just take another look as Penn is one of my top choices however as an OOS student there is no purpose for me to go to a campus that isnāt UP. Please help me out here as I do know honors college decisions come out in roughly a month and a half and my interviewer and I really hit it off and my essays were phenomenal.

I also should add that I did put pre med on my application. Should I ask for reconsideration without pre med? Just really want to figure something out here.
What is your GPA (unweighted and weighted) and SAT score?
