I would wait until you hear from the college itself, unless this person is in Penn State admissions, and even then I would think they wouldn’t make the statement.

Same thing on the daughters page. I guess they made a change to the message for everyone awaiting a decision. Sounds like a formality and no indication of decision. That’s how I’m interpreting it. All in good time.
My son went through it 2 years ago, when they Accepted 380 kids first batch “Freshman Direct Admit” ALL got their admittance same day Dec 6 2021. This year it was by Dec 8 2021.
I spoke with our Nursing Admit contact 2 weeks ago when our friend got her Acceptance. She told me same as for Fall 2022 about 400 kids, with several that do not accept admittance for whatever reasons, then next round is plugged in. For 2021 you had to ACCEPT by mid January 2022, (cant remember exact date) NOT May like in other programs.
Remember this is a “COHORT” program with all kids SAME Schedule except for electives for 4 years.

I think perhaps a large batch will drop this week and hence why they have this wording. They leave on holiday on next Thursday correct?

No idea. I wish some accepted folks would chime in and let us know if they had a similar message prior to getting their acceptance.
It is rolling decisions so we can hear back anytime. An update like this could mean anything - a decision coming soon or maybe they just updated their outgoing message. My son is legacy from my side and dad’s so we are hopeful for a positive outcome.

Interesting. You certainly seem in the know, hoping this doesn’t all add up. Realize nursing is a different animal, but accepting the entire class through EA and mandating acceptance by January is totally unique.
My D has 4.8 / 8APs and has yet to hear. Another from her school with far lower stats was accepted already. And my D is a legacy with multiple generations. Head Scratching!

I have twins. One was accepted last week Language that people are reporting today is most likely just some “marketing” language. My son that was accepted last week…did NOT have language such as this updated. However, my other (yet to receive a decision), has this new language as of today. I really don’t think it’s indicative of anything.

IIRC, someone mentioned that admissions decisions are generally released around 7 pm, so maybe there will be updates then? I can’t recall if I saw that on this thread or Quora/Reddit. In any event, fingers crossed on good outcome for all.

Furthermore (and I have no factual info here), I do believe that my son that has not received a decision (his brother did last week)….to me it seems that he is now on the pile for “summer” and Penn State is deciding that “line” now. Just a guess.
Honestly we only have three nights left this week and four next week so I would think they would need to drop large batches of decisions between now and the deadline to notify us.
The system seems to “update” around 7pm.
