Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I can’t find the info in this thread…
What does it mean if you can get into Lionpath?
My son couldn’t get in up until about half an hour ago. Now he can. Does that mean he was accepted? Is there somewhere we can look to see which campus he’s been accepted to, or if it’s for summer start?
The main portal still shows ‘Your application is still under review’.

That’s correct if you can login to lion path you are accepted. Just wait until 8pm should have the letter and portal updates after midnight

Harrisburg is good for Engineering, although the Erie campus is more well known for their engineering majors - including some majors that UP doesn’t even have. Either way, they are both ABET accredited

Yes - correct. Architecture, nursing, golf course management etc… are direct entry majors that do not have the 2+2. All other majors have entry to major requirements
Hi -I have the same thing - up until now It was an error code saying permission denied - now I have a whole portal set up but under communications, it only has the initial letter I was sent when I first submitted my application in August. I don’t
see any acceptance, or anything to indicate a campus etc…

Reminder that Lionpath is accessible to all Penn State Students - whether at UP or commonwealth campus. Getting into lionpath itself doesn’t mean anything. Just keep checking the portal and the decision will show when available. If you want to see the letter in lionpath it would be under the communication tab if there.

I would say by 9pm we had the admission letter in lions path and application portal was updated after 12
Just curious if PS is not transparent with their process for a reason ? We are high stats, OOS and applied in September .
This checking Lion Path everyday is getting to us for sure !
Same here for one of my kids. If it makes you feel any better, a student down the street, top 1% of class north of 1450 and still hasn’t heard….NJ

They ARE transparent. They tell you if you apply by Nov 1, you will get a decision by Dec 24. That’s it. All of the portal refreshing is a personal choice - one I completely understand - but it’s still a choice.
Penn State tells you what to expect. That people don’t seem to believe them is not Penn State’s fault.

any chance that “#PSUbound” ruse yesterday was hack? or do you think human error? either way, it has both excited and infuriated many of us…and pre-access to lionpath?.. before acceptance posted… something doesn’t feel right…
They need a better process. Ohio State rolls it out on 2 dates. 12/8 and 1/19 (I think the January date is correct). That’s it. Done. This bull of dribs and drabs and then a system error that basically said “yay you’re in” but no details and then disappears while your friends are getting responses and you’re still waiting? Nope. At least the 3 other places he’s applied had the courtesy to send an email that a decision was made and to check the portal.
Wondering if anyone knows anything about Wildlife and Fisheries Science? If my chem. engineering son doesn’t get into that, he is really interested in that area. How hard is that to get into? 3.84 UW, lots of APs, 1330 SAT. Thoughts?
That verbiage was most likely an overthinking from the admissions office…
It was their error. IT is aware and I was told it was a “system update.” The woman I spoke to in admissions basically said “well it sounds like he’s in but I can’t confirm that or tell you any other details.”
Matt Melvin needs to tighten up the ship.
