Also all the ED accepted students will need to withdraw from Penn state so that will clear more UP acceptances.

i’m nervous i would much prefer a deferral then a 2+2…i’ve never felt so nervous
ohio state was my top school and i got rejected but i will say that one was easy because they gave a set date. kinda ripped the bandaid off fast. this is just a slow death i feel

Got it…thanks! That may put a small dent in the numbers. And that’s if they actually follow up to formally withdraw.

Deferral here. OOS, DUS, 3.8 GPA (school doesn’t do unweighted/weighted) 1410 SAT, 3 AP’s w/ 5’s on all, 3 Honors, 4 yr HS sport and captain, same part time job for all of HS, significant volunteer work w leadership. 
Summer option?

So…somebody posted on another area, that these aren’t “true deferrals” and this is their way of saying they don’t have time to review all apps by 12/24 promise date….based on the deferred post above, I’m leaning this way…again, just my view and not fact.
I was responding to another comment on the UC applications. They have 4 essays (350 words) each. Apologies for the confusion.
It could be 3.8 weighted and it could mean a 3.4uw…+we know that student only had 6 “rigorous” courses - remember, THAT is 2/3 of the decision.
Who wants to hear a scary story to pass time?
