Has anyone gotten into Smeal UP yet?
do they release at 7 on weekends or should we assume nothing until monday

I havenāt seen releases on the weekend, do they? Also I noticed last year on dec 24 they didnāt release anything so is the 24 or real date that they release on?
They technically release sat am (for the Friday decisions)ā¦but no real releases on weekends. The next release would be Monday 7pmā¦from a credible source, the last release would be this coming wedā¦

My son got into Smeal Altoona, 2+2 with summer start. A bit disappointed itās not the main campus but he has other options.

Son just heard he got Smeal 2:2. Didnāt know it was a thing. Honestly the letter was unfair because it said Congrats on getting into Smeal and the ln 4 paras letter it says another campus. He called me screaming before he got there.
Anyway, so there is no waiting list for UP for kids offered 2:2?
Iāll tell you this factā¦.an admissions rep emailed me today regarding a random questionā¦.I wouldnāt get your hopes up for weekendsā¦
2 of my friends got in. One had 35 ACT and 10 APs other had 1570 and 14 APs. Both had unweighted 96-97 avg

Anyone know if anythingās going on with in-state decisions? A lot of people in my PA HS applied but the only decisions I know of right now are from people with stats far above average (albeit Iām not very on top of things). Also seems like the majority of decisions posted here are OOS.

smeal on main campus is extremely competitive iāve seen almost no main campus acceptances
Below is direct from the admissions website. Soā¦a decision is not guaranteed for EA (per #2). I never clicked into the faq until now.
Possible decisions for Early Action qualified applicants will be 1) admit; 2) deferral of decision to the November review group (see below); or 3) denial of admission.

Yes this is correct. Several of us have posted this information numerous times over the last couple of months - but they get lost in the thread. I used to have a FAQ that was pinned and I donāt know what happened to it. Iām going to make another one so that people can see all of the questions that are asked over and over.

Seems to be sort of random. There are admission ārepsā and counselors at the main number. They never seem to tell you which they are. You generally Get a rep that has very limited info.
