Good luck to all the folks who’re awaiting decisions tonight.
Hang in there those still waiting. I know it’s tough .
I’m not sure if the locking you mentioned is PSU specific, and if so ignore this, but I got deferred from Oregon’s honors college and they told me to update my grades on SRAR with my first semester of senior year if I wanted that considered in my decision, so it is possible for schools to see them.
I’m not 100% sure, but my D25 updated her SRAR for another school much after her PSU submission. It was sent to all colleges on her SRAR list, except PSU.
Best is to email/call PSU admissions. They are amazing, you can expect a response same day, typically in a few hours. My best wishes.
Ok, daughter got into Lion Path just now, when should the letter be there. Its the first time she checked tonight
On the top right, you should see a pizza button, second option in that list is Communications. That’s where letter should appear.
If you don’t see it right now, worry not. Just a matter of time.
Thanks! We were really impressed when we visited this past summer.
If my TO button disappeared am I definitely hearing tonight? What would the time frame be like?

You will receive an email notification latest by 12.15am EST.
Your portal should be updated with decision sharp at 12am EST.
Good luck!
You may also try logging in to lionpath.psu.edu (same credentials as PSU portal).
Under Communications, you should see a decision letter in about an hour. Please check this thread for how to locate the button if you’re having difficulties.
You can always request Summer start if you got Fall UP. Some students choose to, in part because they end in May and know that by July they’ll be ready to start college already!!! and want the “advance” it gives them, and because indeed among those who did it I don’t know one who regretted it, they all said it was the best decision they’d made (or made for them). Former Forum Champion @jlhpsu’s daughter chose to switch from Fall to Summer for that reason.
Stay strong all of you who are anxiously waiting - the wait is almost over.
My daughter is waiting too, no letter yet. She keeps checking
When did her TO button go away?
Mine now says undergrad admit but it wont let me open anything
College costs are a major, major consideration. Try to figure out how constrained your budget is - without parental loans, which of her admissions can you afford? Is PSU with Fall start the only affordable choice or is PSU with Summer affordable (ie., how mandatory is starting in the Fall)?
You don’t have to answer here (you can but don’t feel that you have to - these are questions you can look into with your spouse, discuss with your daughter.)
If you can’t afford Summer (need a parental loan to make it happen) then reconsideration, keeping fingers crossed for Fall, is the only choice; if that doesn’t work then she would have to make a choice among the other colleges, as painful as it’d be.
If it’s a matter of budget-tightening - you can afford to send her but it means no big family vacation and no nice restaurant for date night, vs. Parental loans or hoping your 20-year old car doesn’t break down…- then it’s a family matter.
8k is a big amount of money so I can understand the hesitancy. Just know that, if you can afford it without hardship, it’s not wasted time.
(If you really want to recoup your investment, she can take some non ETM gen eds at community college during the summer between freshman and sophomore years, look for a post grad job in the Spring/summer JR year, and try to graduate in December… The 2 summer classes are always required classes so they’re not “extra”. Often, they provide a bit of cushioning for 1st semester and by allowing a lower courseload for that one semester with THE hardest class everyone has to take for their major.)
Does she know your budget?
Note that the cheapest college isn’t always the best one for your kid but the college with the lowest loans is always a good idea.
I was only able to open on laptop, not phone.
Try logging in from a laptop. Many phone browsers block the pop-ups.
Also just making sure, you’re clicking on details. That’s when you get the hyperlinks to click on to.
Our S25 got into Engineering (Aerospace) in University Park!
Thanks to everyone for all your advice and support! Very happy future engineer here.
My D25 would have loved to pick the summer option, but her senior year ends very close to the summer session starts.
She’s like, “I need a little break and properly bid farewell to my friends (some of whom have stayed with her since grade 1) before embarking on for my college journey.”
She also has her IB exams to tackle, so I know that she deserves some rest.
God bless all the hard working and committed kids. They are the future of USA!
