Well we decided to call admissions. Turns out…they didn’t receive her reconsideration request. Though we watched it go through back in the beginning of January…UGH. The counselor was extremely kind and helpful. He admitted the portal has caused problems for them and my daughter wasn’t the only one. He pushed her request throught and confirmed on his end, which we then saw on ours. He promised he would do his best to get her an answer within the week. To be honest…I’m awfully anxious now being this far behind, not sure how good her odds are going to be thanks to failed technology as he put it
It is, but if the date is inconvenient, you can reschedule. In particular, if you’re OOS, you can reschedule to right before you start since it may be difficult for you to come from afar, leave, then return!
Can you study for and retake the SAT? If you can get your scores up at least 50 points, I think you would have a good chance for either communications or political science. You may also have a good chance going test optional if you have good rigor (multiple APs, DEs, Honors courses).
@athetraf If you are also willing to start in the summer, you should check that box on your application. It would be best to apply by the EA date (application and all materials received by Nov. 1).
Hi, is anyone in this Penn State forum trying to do the 3+3 Law School. I only find one website with not to much Information, on how to apply to the 3+3 program after you are admitted for Fall Undergrad 2025.
You need to be a Sophomore (60+ credits to your name) with a high GPA and an IAP (Individual academic plan) filled out with your adviser.
Being in CLA and Paterno Fellows probably helps.
Question about the rolling admissions - if a student applied on Feb 2, is there a time that they should expect a decision? I am reading on posts online that it is usually 6-8 weeks, just wanting to know if this holds true. Thanks!
