OOS D25 Admitted- 3.9 UW /4.25 W, TO, HHD pre-major. Found letter in Lion Path after test optional button disappeared.

I heard everyone gets the housing at the same time and it is random, not first come first serve which is a relief
My daughter found her letter tonight in Lionpath after her test optional button disappeared. In-state 3.6 UW/test optional for Nutritional Sciences major; leadership program grad; lots of EC and Varsity cheer captain; lots of dual enrollment/college credits (60+) Admitted Fall UP; super excited!

@CollegeMom2027 @arsenal412 they switched a few years ago to random assignments. Pros and cons to both options, but as long as you commit by the May 1st decision date, you have an equal opportunity for your first choice.

Yes seems to be HHD acceptances on here. I also saw Vet and Biomedical sciences and pre-medicine on Reddit and International Business on Facebook. There also was a 2+2 DUS but not sure if that acceptance was actually yesterday or they just posted about it this morning?

You can ask for recon to the same majorā¦IF something changed on your application. Having said that, they frown upon that. A change, isā¦summer option, diff majorā¦.
DUSā¦itās competitive, but nothing like Smeal. With all the info out thereā¦.no reason to apply to Smeal directlyā¦.unless you think their advisors are better. Pro Tipā¦.DUS advisors all get most of their training from Smealā¦
Iām no expert, but happy to share my knowledgeā¦I have 4 kids (my household, but helped many others locally with PSU, Iām also Smeal Alumn), all OOS, all went test optional. All admitted Fall UPā¦.all solid grades in NJ HSā¦.there is no magic, but lots of worrying and waiting.

My daughter was accepted this morning to Smeal UP (fall start). OOS, IB diploma candidate, ACT 34, UW 3.9

can you change from Smeal to DUS before acceptance? Does anyone know? So why in the world does anyone apply to Smeal?!
