My DD25 also got into smeal this morning- congratulations
you can call Monday. My son wanted Smeal bc of the business advisor. There are some really helpful parents on here that said
That if u get branched you can reapply dus and summer. what is your childâs stats
she has 3.83 unweighted/4.62 weighted, 8 APs and 34 superscore, but no calc, just pre-calc and in AP Stat now. Good personal essay. Applied to corporate innovation and entrepreneurship.
her psu essay is ehh
Where is it in lionpath?
Either they want the Smeal adviser and a shot at Sapphire, orâŠthey donât know better.
You shouldnât change your major to DUS until after you get your 1st reply. Changing now would set you back wrt date of reply.
My sonâs test optional button is now gone and I can get into Lionpath. Where do I look for the letter?
She sounds fantastic. I have a feeling good news is on the way. I was so nervous too. Best of luck.
He is at work and doesnât want me to look, so I will wait until he is home. But everyone, check your portals to see if your button is gone!
What major?
History. I am using SUCH self restraint and not looking.
My son lost his TO button tonight. So surreal and a total relief after checking nightly for the last month! Admitted to UP for Fall. History Major, OOS 4.24 WGPA, 3.67 UW. Applied TO. Both parents are alums. Yay! Good luckđ and best wishes to all!
My son is in for History at UP for Fall 25 too. Phew! Maybe itâs Liberal Arts night? Sending all the positive vibes to everyone out there!!!
Daughter is in for fall at UP for Communications from OOS-MD.
4.47, 1250, 6AP/4DE.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi, what is Lion Path? Is that just the normal admissions portal? I applied as an architecture major and have been checking daily, has anyone who applid for architecture received a decision? thanks
The âportalâ is the application portal and âLion Pathâ is for when you are a student.
lionpath link: https://www.lionpath.psu.edu/
The user name and password will be the same for both but you will only get access to lionpath after accepted.
My daughter is now questioning her choice of major (Media Studies). Penn State is her top choice and concerned about competitiveness of major. For those admitted to Communications, which area of specialization did you choose? Are there majors that are less competitive in Bellisario or do they admit to the school vs major within the school? Is Media Studies considered a competitive major?
Media Studies is not a super competitive major. Aâs in HS English and a solid background in Humanities/Social Science would be expected.
The 1st year courses that allow the easiest pivot to majors within the college of communication are pretty standard for Bellisario: English 15 or 30, Comm 160, World Language, Psychology, Stats 200, Comm 100, Comm 180.
Advertising is more selective.
Daughter admitted UP, fall admission. In state. 3.6/3.95. 1360. 14H/3AP (by end jr year). Korean major (not a heritage speaker)
Hey, has anyone heard from smeal pre major yet?
