This amazes me. I have never paid too close attention to the college admissions process. But with that many applications I would think they would use AI and Analytics to sort them into batches at the very least. I have no idea the size of the admissions staff but I canā€™t see how they get through 60k applications by 12/24. They deserve a long holiday break and then some.

I do think there is some sorting with TO and not-TO as I think a bunch of acceptances (for engineering) came in for those who submitted with tests but donā€™t think any that are TO.

If your TO button doesnā€™t disappear at 7, is there still a chance to get your decision the same night or no?

What if they changed their test-optional answer a couple days ago? It says ā€œupdate completedā€. Would it still disappear in this scenario too?

Thatā€™s my understanding that the button that shows ā€œSHC application statusā€ should still be there. Only the ā€œApply for SHCā€¦ā€ disappears.

Ok, thanks for info. I guess more or less, everyone has the same process to get into their major, to meet some requirements. Do you have any more information on the Sapphire Business Honors, how do I apply, when are the deadlines, etcā€¦ It seems really interesting. Thanks

I donā€™t think there are many that are not admitted. Most are admitted to a second choice campus or other campus if theyā€™re not admitted to University Park. You still get an acceptance letter - have to read it carefully to see which campus it is for.

If admitted apply to Sapphire, especially if you didnā€™t apply to Schreyer. (AFAIK Schreyer and Sapphire can be combined and you can definitely apply to both, but check with each.)
