Nope
Same here. I am seriously starting to worry he’ll get unwanted news on Christmas Eve.
New to this site. Looking for thoughts on whether we should have asked for reconsideration.
Stats on my student: 3.64 UW, DE Major: Food Science Selected summer start for UP.
Result: Admitted to 2+2 at Harrisburg
I think Harrisburg, starting smaller might be good for my student. However, we were let down by not getting UP. We accepted Harrisburg but are now having second thoughts.
Is it too late to call admissions to ask for reconsideration to Summer UP, which is what we were hoping for.
I should have added - no AP, but DE and TO
Ive been reading about this TO buttom disapearing, does this buttom disapear before you are getting an decison more specifically and acceptance to UP?
Not an expert, but since you had already requested summer start, reconsideration had to be a less competitive major. Best is to call them. They are very helpful.
Not at all. They are so big they will hold them for different majors almost weekly until the end of April.
Usually button disappears soon after 7pm EST when a decision is made. At that point you may see an acceptance letter in lionpath.
Then at midnight they send an email notification.
These past few days few folks have noticed that they could login to lionpath and see their decision even though the TO button did NOT disappear for them.
It’s a bit crazy.
Still there!
would i have a good chance getting into Biorenewable because from freshman to junior year i took 4 science classes 2 Bs and 2 As one was a B in Ap environmental science.Biology-B, Chemistry-A, Physics-A, Ap environmental- B. And 3 math classes where i got two As and one B
Gotcha, just making sure does it indicate like weather you got Into UP or not, like for example my TO button went away so i will get into UP or is it across UP and Branch
Decision could be anything. TO disappearance simply indicates that a decision has been made on your file.
Thats what i thought, thanks for the help
All the best, may you see the result you’re expecting
last year my daughter applied EA for Architecture and had not heard by Dec 24. Still hadn’t heard mid January. Decided to change majors (I think she picked computer science) and heard (was accepted) two days later. So I think it depends on the major.
You would have to request a less competitive major in Ag+ summer.
You/he could call and ask, " if I ask for reconsideration for another major+summer and I don’t get it, do I lose your admission at Harrisburg"? (I don’t think so but this is too important so calling is the only way.)
Food science majors are much in-demand - have you visited the Harrisburg campus, Altoona as well? To him is being at UP worth losing this major?
Otherwise, Biorenewable systems with a jr/sr choice of food-related classes may be of interest - this major is much less intensely science-based than Food Science (which is basically premed+everything about food) + simply add this minor
Other possible minors to add to Biorenewable Systems

In his email he could explain he sees he can achieve his professional goals by having the Biorenewable major + “”"^ minor.
Not sure if you would know but do you know what my chances are in getting in, Have a 3.74W 3.62UW, applied straight to summer and DUS, also early action and in state. Have really good hs improvement with all three years gpas, 3.08, 4.1, 4.1.
Any of those Honors?
What math classes?
Sadly none, The Bio, chem, and physics are standard, the environmental is Advanced placment. The math is Algebra-B, algebra 2-A, Geometry-A
If you don’t have Precalculus or Analysis or Trigonometry senior year no - this major requires you to be ready for Calculus, which means having at least one semester of trigonometry or analysis, though a full year of precalculus is the expectation.
The 4 science courses would work but if your school offer honors and standard level you’d have to seriously review these 3 subjects (+ Math) through Khan Academy before the start of classes.
