Relief. Sweet relief at hearing the outcome of this case.
Today, the justice system worked.

Amendola is an idiot.

Beautiful speech by Linda Kelly. “Who would believe a kid? We would believe a kid.”

Guilt shall not escape, nor innocence suffer.

I thought the AG’s speech was perfect. I also liked the brief speech by the state policeman, the guy in uniform. He spoke of the heroism of the victims who testified.

It’s good to see the right thing happen.

I don’t know the exact counts but I read that they pertained to three different victims.

Amendola is blaming the public for vilifying Sandusky. (as to why he couldn’t get Sandusky acquitted) Hey I feel good I was one of millions who contributed to the vilification.

Yes, Kelly took the opportunity to educate the public and reach out to other victims and tell them, you will be believed. very powerful, very moving…

Unless he’s trying to set up an incompetent defense appeal. He’s doing a good job at that.

latichever - yeah, that worries me.

I thought the same thing, lati. (My auto correct will not let me type your name.)

I never knew Sandusky wrote an autobiography called: “Touched: The Jerry Sandusky Story.” My, my, my, what a title in the scheme of things!

I do hope that other victims of this man and other sexual predators will be encouraged to speak up due to this case.

how would that work, incompetent counsel appeal?

Amendola talked about an appeal, he’s still claiming Sandusky’s innocence and saying he was never willing to take a plea.

Oh just shut up, attorney. Just SHUT UP. You are making things so much worse.

(He’s with Anderson Cooper right now).

And don’t you DARE talk about Matt’s mental state. That is NOT your place.

oh I so agree Romanigypsyeyes…and I’m sorry to hear you were abused. I hope in some small way this verdict provides a measure of reality testing and healing…

myturn, it actually does a little bit. Every time someone pays for his or her crimes, I get a little more faith in humanity. It sheds even more light on this situation and makes it easier for survivors like myself. I can’t even begin to tell you how much has changed even in the last 10 years since it happened to me.

Romanigypsyeyes, I was thinking the same thing. (About thinking Amondola needs to just shut up)

Hope this trial result helps bring you peace.

That attorney is a total jerk. Blame the public? Once S. got on TV, talking to Bob Costos, I was convinced then.

What’s next? Civil cases? Trial for Curley, and others?

The verdict for each charge can be found at onwardstate.com

On Nightline, attorney’s coming on to explain why he thinks they’ll appeal.

Defense: the case was rushed. The public had already predetermined guilt.

I don’t think I have the strength to listen to those lawyers any more…

It’s amazing that in addition to the Sandusky verdict, we also had today the verdict against the official of the Catholic church – not an abuser himself, but an enabler. I hope that this heartens victims and encourages them to come forward. At long last, they are being believed.
