*^^* People what are your Summer Plans? Fun or Not really?

Summer is approaching again and millions of high students are going to be out of school. Will you binge Netflix
or do something productive? Will you stay home or go outside (far far away from home)? “One benefit of summer was that each day we had more light to read by” -Jeanette Walls, The Glass Castle

I’m studying for about 8 of the 10 weeks of summer, and in the middle I’m studying at camp

Have fun :3 That sounds like solid plan.

• Get started early on summer homework. I don’t know why but last summer I was so bad with time management. I ended up reading three chapters of APUSH summer work the night before the first day of school… we had a day one quiz too. I have no idea how I ended up doing well on that test.

• Learn to drive. I want to get it done this summer so that I can go out with my friends during the weekends in senior year.

• Study for the SAT. Since I don’t really have anything else to do, I might as well start preparing for the October SAT, and perhaps the September ACT if I decide to take it.

• Study for the academic decathlon. I really need to do this so that I won’t have to stress about it during school.

• Volunteer at presidential campaigns. I’m not doing any internships or summer research programs, so I felt that working for a presidential candidate would be a fun way to stay involved during break.

  1. Do summer homework.
  2. Study for Science Olympiad so when regionals come around, I won't be swamped with work.
  3. Study for SAT and ACT
  4. Study for Subject Tests
  5. Take a summer class
  6. Research at a lab <3
  7. Get my permit.
  8. Bake some more

-Volunteer at my local hospital for 6 hours a week
-Summer reading project
-Self-study precalc
-Learn Spanish
-Netflix-binge Greys Anatomy

I’m mostly reviewing Algebra 1 (bc unlike most regular 19ers, I’m not too good at math), German, and biology and studying ahead for Algebra 2, AP Biology, and Chemistry. I’m also studying Welsh, and now that people mention it I should probably study for the SAT and ACT as well

As for camp, it’s a two-week academic camp between two mountains in the middle of nowhere  it’s the best place on earth

  1. Learn Russian
  2. Run 5-6 days a week, to build up my mileage for cross country
  3. Work (at my job) and pick up extra shifts
  4. Do my summer homework earlier in the year
  5. Visit my top choice college
  1. Learn to drive
  2. Baseball games/tournaments
  3. Yard work (my own and neighbors)
  4. Relaxation
  5. Possibly visit a few colleges

Ayyy I just finished reading The Glass Castle :o

I don’t really have any specific plans. I will probably have some summer homework. I’m planning on getting a job, so there’s that. Otherwise I’m just going to sleep and be super lazy, not far off from what I do now. :stuck_out_tongue:

1.) HOSA Nationals (Yay, free trip!)
2.) Biology Camp at a local university
3.) Practice my Spanish and Italian
4.) Academic Team Studying
5.) ACT studying (ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh)
6.) Read WAYYYYY too many books
7.) Work on my oil paintings
8.) Practice my private piano pieces
9.) Hang out with my nerdy friends

We watched the Avengers last night, planning on having a weekly movie night. :3

1.) Attend FBLA Camp
2.) Attend Leadership Conference
3.) Attend ANOTHER Leadership Conference
4.) FBLA Nationals
5.) State Democratic Convention
6.) Study for APWH and Bio subject test
7.) Study for tons of other stuff

I have to learn to drive this summer, too. :-S #:-S :expressionless:

My summer plans:

  1. Spend a few weeks in Georgia with my father (Mid June to July)
  2. Go to New York for a few days to see my grand parents (Mid July)
  3. Go to Police explorers camp for a week (End of July)
  4. Maybe go to Michigan for a week to see my other grandparents. (around the start of August)

In addition to this I have a few summer assignments to complete, I also plan on taking a virtual class or two to help my GPA a little. I’d also like to spend some time in Orlando at Universal since I haven’t used my annual pass in a while.

Besides those things I’ll be probably be watching Netflix or whatever.
