I found this on a card at Kinkos and it so fits me that I had it framed and put up in my office:
“If you can keep your head while all around you are losing theirs…you have clearly failed to understand the seriousness of your situation.”
I quote not infrequently. Lol
Anyone else have a favorite personal motto/ words to live by?
When in danger or in doubt, run in circles scream and shout.
Don’t close doors you cannot reopen.
Never turn down free food.
My kids would tell you a family motto (taught by my H):
In the midst of confusion, profit can be made.
When life shuts a door, open it again. That’s how doors work.

A small committed group can make great changes, indeed that is how most changes in this world have been made (paraphrasing Margaret Mead).
When the map and the terrain differ, follow the terrain.

Thats my new favorite quote! I wish I could like it twice.

Look up and not down,
Look forward and not back,
Look out and not in,
And lend a hand
The other side of risk is regret.

“Not my monkeys, not my circus,” is something I picked up here and helps me deal with craziness or poor plans that I am not in charge of, so I can detach.
If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?

When mom is happy, everyone is happy
You are only as happy as your least happy child.
Poor work means more work.
“A lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on my part.” Is one of my all time favorites.
