So, of course, the re-scheduled flight for my D from two weeks ago is scheduled for …ta-dah!!! Thursday. Jeebus.

I am starting my chanting now. Now where did I put those candles?

Well, just think about how it feels to LIVE here.

Will keep fingers crossed for your D. This one is supposed to have higher totals as you go north…so the snow amounts will likely be less at the airport. Hope the flight is early…cause it’s getting nasty as the day goes on.

This is no big deal, right? They are probably ready for a little 8-12" snow like that, right? Of course, those 30 mph winds don’t sound real pleasant.

Mid-afternoon unfortunately.

Ummm…we’re getting kinda used to it for sure…after more than 70 inches so far this winter. But money is running out for salting and plowing. And tempers and general mood…wow…folks are cranky around here. The food stores were crazy again today…TJs had super long lines.
Anyway, they ARE calling for 40 mph winds. She may want to stay put and things will probably be fine by Saturday. Better safe…

Fingers crossed for you Cur!!!

Late this afternoon, I heard estimates of 30" total snowfall between Thurs and Fri…

I am tired of snow this year. Haven’t we had enough? I am ready for Sunshine, crocuses, mellow temps, walks in the woods, and outdoor picnics. Think Spring! 8-)

Good luck to your D, Curm.

She gets in around 2:30 EST out at 4:30 EST. I’m hoping that she is early enough to avoid the brunt of it.

I still haven’t received my $ back from the last time. :(

take her to the airport now and get her on the next flight. this storm will not be pretty.

He can’t take her to the airport. She leaves from Memphis!

Maybe it’s a sign?

(Good luck!)

April is coming- and not a moment too soon.

Nah, we’re supposed to get the 30" next week…just 10-12 tomorrow. go figure.

http://readingeagle.com/article.aspx?id=195835

Ya know? I’m starting to wonder if there is not something to that. Karma and all. I checked NOAA and it doesn’t look THAT bad. Fingers crossed.

signs, signs, signs everywhere…

Just have to read them curm.

Best of luck to her.

Me, I would prefer Texas. Same for the boy, but the idiot will probably end up in MA or CT or even worse, NH and he detests tons of snow.

Better than TX, I think Carolina BLUE is beautiful!

Kat

Well, we seem to have been having less snow in MA than PA!

Yeah- I agree with Marite. She should come to boston and avoid the snow totally!

hey curm:

That little ole school down Virginny way is lookin’ migthy fine right now, ain’t it?

lol. kat, mine still has that snowy NH school on her keeper list, too.
Mom is a lot more pointed than that… and she’s only pointing to Houston or Dallas. “Dear. You know that you wouldn’t have these travel problems if you’d just come home and forget all those…ugghhh…other places.”

Edit: Yes. I am up reading weather forecasts at 3:49 a.m… Once a dad, always a dad. ;)

My d is leaving Long Island, layover in Philly , then on to Pitt. When? Friday at 4PM. Accuweather says “check flight status for delays” beginning Friday at 2PM!!! If I were a believer in signs, this would be a BIG one.
