Phone Question

Hi All,

I know cellphones aren’t allowed for Swabs until Flag ceremony or Eagle but I have a few Questions…

How do we know WHEN Swabs will go out on Eagle or if they will be attending Flag Ceremony? Will they be able to let us know this before they are actually on Eagle?

Are IPhones allowed as cellphones once Swabs can have access to their cellphones?

If personal belongings such as a cellphone/IPhone are “sent to the trunkroom”
does this mean it will stay in the Swab’s duffel/luggage(or are they thrown in a pile) up there until they can use it? If the phone has lost its charge once July rolls around, will the Swab have time to plug it in to charge it?

As the time gets closer, the more questions I have…

Thank you for any information!

Once the swabs receive their company assignment the schedule will be a little more clarified. This usually happens aprox. 1-2 weeks before R Day.

The last 2 years this is how it worked:
Companies ABC (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie) left for Eagle on the first week the swabs were assigned to it. The other companies DEFGH (Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel) went to the Mystic Flag Ceremony. DEF would go on Eagle the second week when ABC returns and finally GH would go the third week when DEF returned.

Not sure about the Iphones as they are new. This would give them internet service and it may not be allowed during swab summer. During the school year it may not matter.

The trunk room: Swabs will place their items in their suitcase/duffle until it can be used. They may get their issued trunks to store them in. Most families choose to send the cell phone a week prior to Eagle/Mystic weekend and have it fully charged. That way they get their phone fully charged and ready to go. They should inform the cadre they have received the phone when it arrives.

Hope this helps.
