Yes, I have eclectic decorating approach (a variety of family treasures)
The reindeer paper ornament (lower right) was made decades ago at childcare center with tracing of son’s foot and hands. It’s easy to store and has stuck around. (At least I did finally discard the dog biscuit reindeer ornament a few years ago.)
Cool photo!
Sunset from an elevated spot on St. John
I miss snow, and I miss our cabin. I captured this photo from one of the security cams after the storm this weekend.
I need this mug:
We’re hoping to get up to our cabin on snowmobiles before long.
These are the glasses John Lennon was wearing when he was shot to death on this day 1980. They sit in the window overlooking the NYC skyline in his and Yoko’s apartment.
Is there a story behind how you saw/got this photo??
There is, yes. I went to a Yoko Ono art exhibit (about 15 years ago), and there she had a gigantic (about 10 feet long by 8 feet tall) canvas of this photo. As one first walks by it, what you’re seeing doesn’t compute - then you read the plaque and wow, just wow, step back and it’s this incredibly powerful piece of photography.
Ds cat (Kona) had a stubborn bladder stone removed yesterday. D bought her this instead of the typical cone of shame - she’s putting up with it.
Two dogs exhausted after five hours at the groomers and missing their PM nap. The one on the right plopped herself down for a belly rub and then fell asleep in that position. She never sleeps in our family areas - always keeps one eye open in case something interesting happens, like a sheep walking by maybe. She’ll usually only sleep in my bedroom with me. So she must have had an exciting and tiring time getting groomed! (She loves going to the vet and groomers - anything out of the normal routine!) Our boy on the left is an expert snoozer, or maybe he’s just doing inner eyelid inspections like my Dad used to do .
My daughter’s cat sends cyber hugs to Kona. BTDT regarding the cone wearing. (We are petsitting kids’ cats at our place, and this tiny black cat got into a fight with our twice her size male cat. The feisty black kitty won the battle but not before she got a few bites on her tail. So a cone from Amazon, a virtual consult with my niece the vet, and some Neosporin did the job).
Here she is modeling the cone in the other color
Thank your kitty for the well wishes (cute cat!) I asked if Kona would want to come to us this week since I’m WFH - D said she’d be WFH this week, but apparently Kona heard my offer…
Cats are the best. Love the pics. Wish I could pet them.
