Great photos, but those of you going on safari, don’t do this!!

“To capture this curious lion cub at eye level, South African photographer Gerald Hinde leaned out of his vehicle, holding the camera close to the ground. He had parked in a river bed in South Africa’s Greater Kruger National Park, and this youngster was the first to take an interest and approach him.”

You can get fined for leaning out of your car window in Kruger. Not smart.

Here is a photo that I (MLH) took of a dumb girl in Kruger:

A peaceful walk in the woods before the major winter storm arrived. We’ve received 25” of snow over the last two days and it’s still falling.

Nice! Was this taken recently? Is it specially lit for the holidays, or is it always like that after dark? We’ve visited, but only during day hours. Might be worth a trip back in the evening, if always lit at night. These photos are great. Thanks.

‘Oh No, They’re Both Gone’: Beloved Maine Fishing Shacks Tumble Into Bay
A video captured the moment when a winter storm surge knocked the last of the historic shacks, a local attraction and backdrop for paintings and photos, into Casco Bay.

This was part of their Winter Garden display, taken 12/22/23 – the theme was “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” The multicolored display is at the base of the quarry. The sun sets at 4:30, so we had time to walk around and then had a dinner reservation at 8:00. It was a lovely evening, about 45 degrees. We’ve been there a couple of times before in the summer, but this was absolutely worth the visit.

D2 turns 30 later this year and a big goal for her was moving to her own place without roommates. This is not an easy feat in a city as expensive as San Diego. I am proud of her for reaching her goal and moving into her cute little apartment with her two kitties this week.

That’s wonderful. My daughter has the same goal. She has three awesome roommates but she wants her own space. Portland, Maine has gotten very expensive, too. It’s so tough.

Our dining room clock died after 27 years (I’m still going to try to fix it) - so I got this one…I tell you it makes me laugh every time I look at it.

End of workday & I feel just like this!
