Sunset in the Carolinas a couple of weeks ago. So absolutely gorgeous.
This one wanted to get out of the rain, I guess—we’ve had many birds on the deck, but never a gobbler!!
Sand cranes, I think. Big birds! Saw them just now. We’re staying at a small resort that feels like a nature preserve. So pretty.
Bunsen - that is amazing. I’ve had many dogs and cats but never one that saw an animal on TV and watched intently!
There are 4 cats in this house, and this cat is the only one that pays attention to the animal or bird activity on the screen! She ignores news, movies, shows… only documentaries with cats or birds! Her favorite documentary is Kedi - a film about street cats of Istanbul.
That’s is just so amazing. None of my pets paid the least attention. Smart kitty!
Our cat will pay close attention to birds sometimes, and “follow them” across the screen, etc.
A friend has a dog and one day with the TV playing I heard her whimper. I asked my friend what was bothering the dog and it turns out anytime she sees a dog on the TV she whimpers. She also does that on walks when she sees other dogs so I guess she sees the TV dog as the same thing.
Our Maine Coon loves to watch a certain YouTube TV commercial break that features birds chirping and a close up of a humming. She loves that commercial but no others.
Our Maine Coon would watch anything that moved and loved to play a fishing game on my iPad. He would also watch any animal on TV but especially birds. Bird chirps would send him on a mad hunt to the windows or TV. It was quite clear what he thought of birds.
Both of our current cats perk up and meow whenever they hear bird sounds on the TV!
My dog steps on the remote and changes the channel whenever former President Trump or President Biden comes on.
She is a good girl!!
Our beautiful Auntie passed away this weekend. 90 years old, no health issues, just went to sleep and didn’t wake up. I paint pictures for her apartment which she loves. I painted this today; she and I saw a photo on a magazine cover. She said “I’d love to go there and see those beautiful flowers!” This is for her, I hope she’s there. Hug your loved ones!
Sorry for your loss, JustaMom
I think the math is wrong on that poster. If the rate is $10/kid/day (per the first line), and there are 25 kids/class (second line), that’s $250/day x 180/school days = $45,000. That second line doesn’t make sense, but perhaps the artist did not have a good math teacher.
Perhaps the poster meant that a teacher has multiple classes so has more than one class of 25 students/day? Not clear.
