I am so jealous that my son gets this in his office cafeteria.
This guy/gal was no more than 20 ft out our bedroom window. Not too bad a pic, given that I had to shoot through several layers of glass. Tried to spot focus on the head/eye–read somewhere that’s how you get a good bird pic.
Either a Cooper’s or sharp-shinned hawk. My vote is Cooper’s: crow-size (vs. bluejay size), rounded tail (vs. sharp-cornered tail) and large blocky head (vs. small rounded head)
I’ve been crocheting bunnies as give-always for our community Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow. These three are pals.
Happy Easter everyone!
We were there exactly this time last year. It was so gorgeous!
Happy…not yet Passover but what husband is bringing home from the grocery (daffodils from TJ at my request).
I went into a local thrift shop today and found this; it reminded me of “home.” Peeps from PA Amish country may recognize a P. Buckley Moss print. I bought it for $5.
Edited to add: ok, showed it to DH and got the polite forced smile and “oh, ok.” He knows it’s not our typical esthetic, but he did not get the kitschy early 80s flashback of it all my mom on the otherhand was excited; it was totally her vibe. It sparked memories of her meeting Moss at their mutual vendor over the years. Mom said she gave her some prints back in the 80s; it was well worth the $5 for the stories from mom that are few and far between these days.
Beautiful @thumper1. @MaineLonghorn posted her pic on the Say it Here thread. It’s beautiful, too. Power is out at our cabin, or I’d post one. Wish I were there.
The nice thing about spring snow…it’s pretty and it does not last very long.
@jym626 Hearst Castle?
Yep. Good eyes!
I’ve been there many times!
