Sunset tonight. Poipu, Kauai - it’s magic here too.
Those dolls are darling!
Just got back from our annual stay in Bar Harbor Maine:

A good time to visit, before the island gets inundated with people.
When I was teaching we would head up to Acadia NP as soon as school let out in June. Now, in retirement, we try to visit in May. As you say, the park is so quiet in May, except of course around Jordan Pond—so many bikes, even in the spring.
In many areas we were the only people there.
We go yearly in mid-September and camp in Somesville. It’s one of our favorite destinations. The hiking is fabulous. As long as we limit time in Bar Harbor and around Park Loop Rd, it’s pretty quiet.
That’s good to know it’s not too bad in September.
Our third generation of deer has arrived. We have “sacrificed” our front of house gardens but enjoy watching them grow up.

Please help me, not seeing the problem. “An” is correct here since the L in LCH is pronounced “EL.” Let me know if I’m missing something.
I’m with you. I scoured the sign and don’t see any other item that might be considered a mistake.
An is correct.
Yeah I’m an editor and can’t figure out what’s wrong.
New baby robbins. The nest was at the base of a garden sculpture. We’ve been watching them since we first saw the eggs!
Awwww….
We have baby chickadees!! A pair made a nest in a rotted fence post. Mr. B accidentally discovered the nest when he decided to remove the post… guess it stays there for a few more years!
Kinda hard to take pictures of those babies, so this is as good as we could manage to take one.
Yes! It was hard to get too close to the nest. The mama robin was not happy when I was taking the picture!!
MADadWife was pruning some bushes yesterday and discovered a nest with chicks almost ready to fledge—mom and dad were frantic in their attempts to drive her away!
Once they go, pruning will continue
I don’t have any true skill when taking photos besides using my iPhone and hoping for the best. But Lake Michigan for anyone who hasn’t seen it is truly so gorgeous and SOO truly blue that it turns any amateur photo into a pic of beauty.
Empire, Michigan near Sleeping Bear Dunes.
And the second pic, Traverse City on a cloudy day.
I hope they stay safe! We get robins in our hedge regularly, but the darn outdoor cats in the neighborhood usually do them in.
