You’re a baby! When I was in college I took a basic programming class. There were no individual computers. We had to go to the computer lab to work on our projects.

My mom took computer science in the punch card days. But in 1981 we got our first PC. An Apple II plus. It was $3,000 I believe. And my parents were so scared we kids would break it, when we were done, we had to turn it off and count to something - 30 I think. Before we were allowed to stand up.
I just thought it was neat that I still had the order form almost 35 years later

What’s a DNR stop? The only thing I can think of is Do Not Resescitate. Surely that’s not it!

Yep, @Marilyn was correct; it’s Department of Natural Resources. They’re the police on the lake. Evidently one of our registration stickers had fallen off; the one on the other side of the boat was still on, but they couldn’t see it. The one that had fallen off is on the side that faces full sun all day. When they pull you over they then check for everything, life vest, throw flotation devices with straps, air horn, fire extinguisher…it took about 20 minutes, hence getting caught in the rain. We’re probably as straight laced as it gets on the lake, so getting pulled over by the po po wasn’t on my labor day bingo card

Suff’s was created by the daughter of a CC poster. She used to be very active and helpful especially on the subject of musical theater. Not sure if she’s still around as I can’t remember her screen name.
