I loved Ravenna. It was a last minute decision on my part and I’m so glad we went.
Enjoying every minute of this beautiful fall weather and looking forward to hosting Thanksgiving here at the cabin with our son and DIL and our best friends.

This reminds me of how my parents would put a net between the back seat and the cargo part of our station wagon and my younger brother would ride back there like it was a playpen, when he was around 4 maybe. 1960s.

Reminds me of when we moved into our house in AZ when our son was three. It had several large golden barrel cactuses in the front yard. I told him these were for timeouts. There were several children in the neighborhood who could have benefited…

We live close enough to Old Sturbridge Village in MA such that we have a membership and visit several times a year. A couple of weeks ago I guess the lighting was just right and this beauty was the result. The straw catches the light just so and pops.

One of my favorite places. I wish we lived closer!
One time, Middle Kid (of course, it was Middle Kid) cut his hand on the butter knife in the restaurant there. I must say, it was the sharpest butter knife I’d ever seen! He’d just been diagnosed with a bleeding disorder and it bled more than would normally be expected. The restaurant staff went into high gear - they quickly wrapped his finger up, and then gave him a brownie and a stuffed teddy bear. He was fine.

Love that place and we’re members for years. Haven’t been in a while - thanks for reminding me that we need to visit!
I’m not sure what effect this owner is going for, but all I could think of this morning was a serial killer van and his victims! CREEPY!!!
(I was stopped at a traffic light, so it was a pretty safe photo op!)

The beautiful pinks in the clouds disappeared while I went in to get my phone. Clouds covering the mountain tops in the distance and the cool cloud in the foreground.
