Cats now need to be kept indoors.

Yup. Mine never go outside.

I’m worried about our neighborhood bobcat. Several large cats at a cat sanctuary in WA died of bird flu.

Bobcats can live practically anywhere that there is prey to eat, including suburban/rural neighborhoods. I live in a suburban neighborhood of southern CA. One of the houses that had been up for sale for a few months at an unrealistically high price had a family of bobcats move in to the 0.25 acre yard. More live in other areas around the neighborhood. However, the bobcat population pales in comparison to coyotes. There are at least dozens nearby who can regularly be seen in backyards. I know several neighbors who have lost pets to coyotes while in their backyard.

I think this stems from living in a climate with little rain. Prior to the rain over past couple days, there had been no significant rain over the past 9 months. Having no significant rain limits what flora can naturally survive. Most neighbors have grass that is supported by unnatural sprinklers, so rabbits can flourish in the neighborhood when they cannot survive elsewhere in region, and rabbits congregate in the neighborhood. I have a family of rabbits living in my backyard. A picture is below. Having a large number of rabbits in the area attracts a large number of predators that eat rabbits – coyotes and to a lesser extent bobcats. Coyotes are especially good at successfully coexisting with humans, living in the same territory. Bobcats also seem to get by in the neighborhood. There have also been a few rare mountain lions that eat the coyote/bobcats, which are usually soon killed or relocated, if they are spotted by humans.

So similar to the OSU/ND map for the college National Championship last week. Not a good year for football.

I’ll be getting off a flight just as the game kicks off. I don’t intend to watch, which will be a first for me.

I aways agree to attend one of the neighborhood parties for the food, but even DH isn’t interested this year. We’ll catch the commercials online later.

No bobcats here, but still some nice critters around.

We loved the Mauritshuis when we were there last spring! Girl With The Pearl Earring is sometimes called the Dutch Mona Lisa, except if you wait a minute you can easily walk right up to it, unlike the one in Paris.

The Escher Museum was open I assume—we were there on the day it does not open.

We could not visit large sections around the parliament due to construction—is it still going on?

Also, did you visit the International Court? Impressive looking building, paid for by Andrew Carnegie.

We were lucky to get guided tours through the construction and were allowed in both the presidential and peace palaces along with parliament. Pretty cool to hear and learn some history. We were not however allowed near the courts.

We have a few private tours tomorrow back in Amsterdam. Looking for forward to it.

Our oldest, hiking with friends. The red daypack belonged to my father, and when he passed away my oldest asked if he could have it and “show Grampa some more mountains”. One of his friends snapped this for me. :face_holding_back_tears:
