So creative! Love the poppies. We don’t seem to do things like this.
I’ve been on the other side of that gate several times.
So many people traveling! Loving the pics. Dh and I fulfilled a bucket list hike - the Presidential Range in NH’s White Mountains. Four day hut to hut hike, 9000’ of elevation, 11 peaks. We are big hikers but it was more intense than I expected!
Congratulations! That looks brutal, but beautiful!
Fireflies! They used to appear early in July but climate change, I guess.
I took a walk this evening on Shore Road, along the NYC harbor.
Jaws is my favorite movie. It’s not even close. I have a friend who is a Jaws mega-fan. He purchased a 1975 Chevy Blazer with the same paint job as Chief Brody’s at auction during Covid. He turned it into an exact replica. He was included in the Jaws 50th anniversary celebration this weekend on Martha’s Vineyard.
I saw some here in Maine last night! I was surprised, too.
It was a pretty evening on Saturday at our camp. We had the land logged six years ago. You can tell the little trees are getting tall. They will start blocking the view unless DH can get out there and start chopping. It really is a jungle.
My brother in law is part owner of a lake resort in Illinois. This is how they watch Jaws there. This photo used to be on their website. You won’t catch me doing it that way.
That’s beautiful!
The many faces of Half Dome.
From the historic Ahwahnee hotel, where there was a five year debate whether or not to clear trees when they obstructed the view of the dome. It was finally decided to take them down.
From Glacier Point
From Tunnel View
The back from Olmsted Point, five miles away. And zooming in on the hikers on the cables on the last few hundred feet to the summit.
I’d do that!
I used to think I wanted to try and do that summit. Then I realized, eh, not so much. We didn’t even do Angel’s Landing in Zion, which I don’t think is nearly as bad (but I don’t know that at fact).
Editing one landmark a day - today Yosemite Falls. The lower falls were a short walk from my room and I could hear it roar. But of course it’s visible everywhere - until it dries up later this summer.
View from Glacier Point showing the Middle Cascade:
Lower Fall where everyone was taking Instagram pictures pretending to drink the fall. I Facetimed husband who asked why everyone had their mouths open.
Upper Fall from the courtyard at Yosemite Village where I had a snack.
And the source - Yosemite River - fed by snowmelt. This little river turns into those mighty falls.
