One of my favorite places! We stayed at the lodge there “way back” in 2000.

Sitting on a blanket by the quiet lake reading a book and enjoying a dish of Maine Black Bear ice cream on a warm, breezy Labor Day. Not sure there’s anything better.

Google street view agrees that is Anaheim.

Walk about a half block back towards and past the photographer, look across the shown street and you are looking at the south side of Disneyland.

The sign on the post (the one farther than the Alamo Inn sign) says Anaheim, so I thought that was the giveaway.

A very typical sight where I live!
Your pictures of Moraine Lake may cost me thousands of dollars. As I think I already mentioned, we stayed at the lodge there back in 2000. It’s our 25 year anniversary next year, and that is our top contender for places to go right now. BUT… the lodge costs over $1,000 a night. We don’t normally spend that much on lodging, but we are thinking the splurge will be fun, since it’s our anniversary.
