There’s a thread like this in a different forum and I though it would be cool to do just with music schools. I’ll post two music schools and the next person to reply decide which you would choose. Then pick two more music schools so the person after you can choose and so on.

I realize you are doing this pretty much as a fun thing, but it is kind of pointless to choose between two music schools without specifying which department and maybe even which teachers you are talking about. Might I suggest that you restart the chain with that information added?

Edit: Better yet - let the original post stand but let those who answer specify the department and/or teacher as follows

Well, I mean I guess it was kind of meant to be a pointless thread thats just for fun, kind of people randomly picking schools based on what they know about them overall. P.S. whats a bradetich?

Darn it, Zep. I was going to try to convince him that a bradetich was a 12-holed flute used in Mongolia in the 14th century for purposes of courtship because it requires two people to play…

DS would pick UMich in a heartbeat over Rice; he doesn’t want to attend school in the south, and the Mich program is more comprehensive!! (didn’t realize that Shepherd was such a small program…they sent info unsolicited).

In post #10, you answered the question that binx asked in post #7, which had already been answered by thumper1 in post #8. I read your #10 too quickly and thought you were answering fiddlefrog’s question in post #9 (Rice vs SF rather than Rice vs Michigan) without adding a question of your own to keep the thread going. My mistake, not yours. I should know better than to post before ingesting caffeine that early in the morning.

To get us out of the conundrum, I will answer fiddlefrog with

Rice or San Francisco? Rice - double bass, Ellison and/or Pitts
