PINK SHIRTS on guys

What is your feeling or thought on pink shirts for guys???

so played out. it just reminds me of trashy guido types now, lol. its a moral atrocity to wear a pink shirt at my school.

agreed…most of the guys that i know that wear pink shirts are overconfident, egotistical, and soooo played out… haha

i like pink shirts on guys. as long as they are lacoste and not some cheap dyed white tee.

As a guy, I don’t like it. Of course, I also don’t like many other colors which others wear without a problem (i.e. orange).

"Real Men of Genius: Today we salute you, Mr. Constant Collar Putter Upper. You, bedecked in popped collar, teach us that we no longer have to live with a cold back of the neck. Sure, your Pink alligator polo may look feminine to some, but not to the 17 other frat guys wearing the same thing at the bar. Where others may see thoughtless fashion conformity, you preach a higher gospel. You preach of a world where its okay for a man to go tanning. You ask “why can’t we wear make-up, and use shampoo with lavender essence?” So crack open an ice-cold Bud Light, Mr. Abercrombie (or is it Fitch?), because we all know, when we really need a piece of gum, you might have one…in your man purse. "

you mean salmon not pink

I think pink dress shirts look good under a jacket for formal occasions-- otherwise, just say no.

It was cool before everyone was doing it, now it looks desperate

For me, paying $80 for a crocodile is a lot more ridiculous than wearing a cheap dyed white tee.

Where are you getting them for $80…that must be on sale.

thats how we roll! were pimps.

lol jks

i perfer black or blue

Polo shirts at gap are 20 bucks and on sale you can get em for 14. Paying 80 dollars for the same quality but with a little logo is just begging for attention. Its like look at me…I like to waste money-NOW LOVE ME!

um no not really. when u have $80 to spend on a shirt its about status not attention jerkoff

The fact that you need to flaunt your status is more pathetic than paying that much for a shirt. PS, if you can’t have a conversation without calling names, maybe you shouldn’t be on this board anyway.

Pink shirts are fine if you can play them off properly. However, purple is the new pink – so you should be getting solid button up purple shirts, purple polos, etc.

LOL how immature

Just a point of advice kimmi-if your friends love you because of what you wear…then maybe you need to rethink who your real friends are.

if you yourself judge your friends on what brnads they wear then you’re not much of a friend yourself.

I agree that purple is pretty hot right now.

As for expensive clothing. There’s a lot more to it than just the name. Generally an expensive piece of clothing has better quality (you see this in jeans quite often, details are far more intricate and the jeans will last longer) Likewise with shirts. You can usually feel the difference on the inside when you compare some random expensive shirt to that Express 1MX dress shirt you got at the 20 dollar sale. The expensive shirt will feel nicer against your skin and the cut is generally better too.

pink looks good (although agree that purple is the new pink) but only if the person actually lives the prep lifestyle and don’t give me that crap that A&F is preppy. That’s laughable. A&F is a piece of crap company that makes clothes for wannabe preps.

Basically you’re not really prep unless you summer in Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard or the Hamptons.

and the color varies by brand, price, designer.
