<p>@vballgurl UChicago does not mostly look at GPA. When I visited the school, the admissions counselor said that test scores and GPA only account for about 3 lines on a 20 page application. He said that the essays/recommendations are the bulk of the application and showcase a student’s personality and allow the admissions counselor to get to know the student. </p>
<p>IMO regardless of whether or not people on CC say you will get “rejected”, you should still apply because you never know what will happen. Most of the chancers are high school students who haven’t been accepted themselves yet. So don’t take their advice too seriously. </p>
