I’d say you’ve got a good chance.

Thanks for your input! Anyone else?

yeah, i’d said pretty good chance, its just harder for me (an in-stater) to evaluate an out of state applicant… but i wouldn’t worry too much! good luck!

Thanks so much for giving me your opinion.

You look like a good candidate. I would want to know: 1) Is anyone else applying from your school? 2) Are you top 10% of your class? You seem to have a solid shot. Make sure you show interest (visit if you haven’t already) or perhaps email an admissions counselor.

Okay, thanks. Actually, I know of two other people from my school who are applying (but I’m almost certainly a better candidate than at least one.) As for my class rank (yes, I am serious) I go to a microscopic private school and there are only ten people in my class. Naturally, class rank doesn’t much matter. I would really like to visit, but I live fairly far off (Texas) and my parents won’t buy the plane ticket untill I’m accepted. If I were to email an admissions counselor, what would I say without sounding overly solicitous?

i am applying to UVA… i know i dont belong here., but did u say u can email an admission officer? the ACTUAL OFFICER??? where do i get an address for that

Yes, I was wondering that as well…

ur in man, haha, ive talked to the admissions people on numerous occasions, u fit everything.

Cool…I’m glad you think so!

it sounds ot me like we were pretty similar applicants and i got in ED. im sooo excited for all these people from Texas who are applying! i would love to be surrounded by lots of Southern accents because I’m from Maryland and we think that sort of thing is cool ;-)
