Hi, I am a junior who’s lived in asia for all my life.

I am interested in almost EVERY popular major offered by University at Texas at Austin–accounting, science majors…etc. But from what I’ve seen around this site, there is little chance for international students to be accepted into this university.
And becuase I am not as top-notch compared to the other int. students, I’ve basically crossed UT Austin from my list. And I am wondering whether there’s another college that I’ve never looked into that would accept an international student and offer financial aid with the following:

SAT: total = 1910
Cricial Reaing 530
Math: 700
writing 680

Leadership: President of Environmental Club, PResident of French Club

GPA: around 3.4 to 3.5 according to 4.0 scale

currently taking AP Biology, AP Chemistry and Honors(or accelerated) Pre-Calculas classes.

Community Service:
100 hours of being a T.A at the summer program in my school’s elementary division
80 hours doing recycling work
80 hours spent going to rural areas of China–specifically YunNan Province, to visit schools and bring them utencils, lighting, and computers.

Work experience:
I’ve been tutoring since Grade 8. And the subject I teach is algebra, and geometry.
I’ve also been tutoring a first grader English.

And so far that is all I have. If there are any suggestions about how to spend my upcoming summer (maybe being an intern?) or suggestions about a college that might be interested in my resume/transcript, please tell me!!

PS:
I have been looking into schools in the east coast because the ones in the west i’ve heard don’t offer as much scollarship/financial aid to international students. And becuase I am not with an outstanding SAT or grade point average, I am trying to find a college that will offer as much financial aid to int. students as posssible. ![]()
any ideas? PLEASE HELP ME!
