Does your envelope have a reference number?

Thanks!

Does your envelope have a reference number?

Thanks!

^^^ No, Lsue. We covered that several pgs back!! Sorry.

OOOPs…sorry.

It’s been a heck of day as you can imagine.

Thanks for all your helpful info!

Ok…so today is the day. I hope someone on here lives where UPS delivers early. We will have to wait until late afternoon or evening. Most of the time it is 5 p.m. before they deliver to our house. Can’t wait to see the first post go up saying you GOT IT! Good luck everyone. Time to drink some coffe and start the waiting game…again. I wonder if the number of people having heart attacks increases during college app/scholarship season?

Don’t know abut heart attacks , but I should have invested in the companies that make dyes for gray hair. Not to mention Pepto-Bismol.

So many amateur gumshoes…I’m impressed!

Tell me, eokitty–how can you tell where the package is from? I get two hits to my zip, & based on times of pickup, scan, & billing info, both appear to be from same source. But how can you tell PLACE of origin?

Not that I think D. really got one. But this info/methodology could be useful in the future!!!

Good luck everyone!!!

Pepto is my friend.

YoMomma…if the packages show that they are in transit, just click on package progress and it should show where it was sent from but if it’s not from Tulane doesn’t mean you don’t have something on the way it just means they didn’t use the state abbreviation as a reference code.

The UPS item I found for our zip code shows it flew to DFW airport about 8 pm. Then starts from there. Nothing listed for the origin city. Used reference “D”.

Like I said before it could mean anything, but at least it gives us hope.

I bet that is it. When I search UPS for anything shipped to my zip code in the last couple of days nothing shows up. I guess that is bad news for us. If it flew in at 8 pm it still didn’t go out until about 7 or 8 am so it may update the destination soon. Good luck!

I was on the counselor chat last nite and one of the counselors confirmed that she had seen the UPS guy pick up the letters for overnight delivery for today.

Tried the UPS thing. Got a hit but it is a package that will be delivered tomorrow and is coming from the east coast :(. Anyway, I need to get off this computer. Maybe if I leave the house it will come
It is off to get my mother-in-laws teeth from the dentist. Now that is some fun!!!

Does anyone know the weight of the package based on previous years? That would be a good clue on the UPS search.

eokitty,
Did the tracking show departure yesterday from NOLA via next day air? Thats pretty promising!

The package didn’t show any departure city. Just showed that it was scanned at about 6 pm and then about 8 pm it showed up (from some city) in Dallas. It was delivered at 9:04 am, but of course I’m not at home so I can’t check anything.

That DOES NOT mean that the package was destined for our house. If anything, it would probably mean that at least someone in our zip code got one of the treasured packages. But I won’t know anything until my son gets home this evening. He will make it home before me.

Hmmm-- didn’t show the departure city? Thats surprising. Any of yoru neighbors home who could take a peek at your front door for you to see if you have a delivery?

Wish I did know my neighbors… Instead I’ll let my son find out on his own. If he calls and is really excited, then I know he got the scholarship. If I don’t get a call from him, then I will know that package wasn’t delivered to our house. He’ll never know that I was even tracking that package.

But it does take about an hour to fly from NOLA to DFW. With all the other timings, I feel confident that someone at his high school got a package. Now if I could just figure out which of the other students applied for the scholarship :)

eo-
Why don’t you call UPS, give them the tracking # and your home address, and see if they’ll tell you if it was delivered there?
If you explain the situation I think some nice UPS customer svc person might tell you! They might not tell you where it was delivered, but they might tell you if its your house or if it came from NOLA (they can see more in their systems than we can see on line).

Guess what - talked with UPS. It wasn’t my package after all. So that throws out my entire theory of how to track packages via UPS.

Back to the waiting game with everyone else. But after hearing about the other projects, I’m getting less and less confident of my son’s chances.

Ohhh. Bummer. So sorry, eokitty. Was UPS able to tell you where that pkg originated from, or if there was anything scheduled to be delivered to your house??
