So funny, eokitty. I just did the same thing! lol

That’s weird. Hasn’t it always been UPS or FedEx in years past?

As long as they come soon, I’m happy!

Scratch that comment. Like 6 people commented before I hit send. haha.

Do we know if it’s next-day or second-day air mail? Is the chat still going on?

eokitty: I counted them too.

I wish that picture showed addresses!

i wish it showed addresses too but honestly this is better than wondering when they are going to send them. so the tweet said they were being sent out today which means they should be arriving tomorrow or wednesday right? oh i’m even more nervous now

The chat just said that it was through regular mail…?

They said in the chat that over 1000 kids applied and they gave out 75. With those numbers I have pretty much stopped worrying and am now just assuming I won’t be getting one.

Yes they said regular mail! Specifically

The winners will get notified tomorrow via UPS. The one’s who are not offered the scholarship will receive their notification via first class mail.

They have said both.

In summary, If our son or daughter has won a scholarship we will know tomorrow by COB via UPS. If they have not won a scholarship, they will receive a letter in the mail later in the week. Either way we will know.

So for tonight, all our sons & daughters are winners :)

Trust me it is express, not snail mail. Definitely UPS, take a look at second image and compare to twitter image.

[ups express envelope - Google Search](http://images.google.com/images?q=ups+express+envelope&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7DKUS_en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=NSSDS-ShLYrh8Qb3q7jrBQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CBwQsAQwAw)

And FYI, if it is 75 this year out of 1000+ applicants, that is identical to last year.

and tomorrow, well only some of them are winners, haha just kidding that is actually a good way to look at it. So, I’m guessing that if they go out tomorrow and i, or anyone for that matter, do not get one i didn’t get the scholarship correct? that is a bit depressing :(

I would give it until Thursday COB to say for sure you are not getting one. Or Wednesday if people really start getting them tomorrow. I guess I am not clear if they are scheduled for next day or 2 day delivery, or if they went out today for sure or maybe not until tomorrow. In any case, it seems that if nothing by COB Thursday, the odds are very low.

well that gave me a glimmer of hope haha. not really, in all honesty i am not expecting one. hoping for one, but not expecting it. I just wanted to thank all of you though. It has been so helpful to hear from people experienced with this particular scholarship and honestly it has just been incredibly nice to talk to others in the same situation. GOOD LUCK to everyone and i hope we all come home to find that desired package on our door steps. Thanks again. :D

Mistaken - the hit I got on UPS was not from Tulane. Guess we have to wait.

just got off counselor chat at Tulane—they said they actually witnessed the UPS guy picking up the envelopes today going out overnite. The winners should find out tomorrow

This is better than being able to track Santa via Google maps on Christmas eve. Only Santa doesn’t deliver $148,000 scholarships ($37K x 4).

If someone on the board gets one of the golden tickets in the morning, can you check to see if there is a “reference” number or word on the package?

Now to think of something else and not worry anymore. What is done is done.

One of the counselors on the chat said it was UPS overnight…but with 75 out of 1000 I don’t know if the UPS man will be stopping here…I hope I haven’t ordered anything that will be delivered tomorrow…thinking my son is getting a scholarship and instead we get some curtains…LOL

Good luck everyone. BTW,that is the exact same envelope my 's came in (ok, so I still have it, LOL) and it says “extremely urgent” and “next day air saver” on it. So those are definitely the UPS envelopes and I can’t wait to see the happy posts tomorrow!!
