Our checkin went very smoothly, except the we didn’t get the mask and other trinkets we were supposed to get. Tried to pick on up at Barnes & Noble, but that’s only for non-dorm folks. She’ll figure it out eventually. She’s got 10 KN95 masks and 50 surgical masks, so it’s no big deal.
I saw pretty good mask compliance, although they obviously have no enforcement of that…or anything else. Anybody who wants can go into the dorms whenever they want, whether or not they are masked.
Parking was not enforced during move-in, but I talked to a UCF police officer and he said normally parking is very aggressively enforced. So if you visit, be sure to get a parking pass and be sure you understand where you can and cannot park – because they WILL write you a ticket. Parking is NOT enforced by the police – it’s a special team of non-sworn folks and parking enforcement is all they do. That should tell you something!
