Police Academy? Take Career in Canada at all?

<p>I plan on going to a local community college for 4 years, then when I am 21 - Police Academy. - Ohio. </p>

<p>To save the “my future” story. </p>

<p>Canada has always been an attractive alternative to life in the United States. Guess my question in hand here is; graduating from Police Academy - either Police Officer, computer forensics etc. would I be able to take my degree + after graduating PA would I be able to take what I have to the all-mighty Canada? Do you need 3 full years of permanent residency in Canada?</p>

<p>Can an American born, raised, Citizen become a Canadian Police Officer?</p>

<p>My guess is that is very unlikely that you could be hired directly from the U.S. after graduation. Getting a position on a police force in Canada is difficult and there is no shortage of individuals who want such positions.</p>
