Police officer shoots and kills teen. Doesn't report it.

Reportedly drove a friend to the Hardees so she could sell the cop some pot.

It seems this incident is getting little traction.

The threads discussing recent officer involved shootings of black victims have pages upon pages of discussion and outrage.

This incident however, seems of little interest. Little interest to the MSM, little interest to the ‘cops are bad and must be stopped’ outrage groups and little interest to those so passionate in other threads.

Now…what can one conclude…

My thoughts exactly.
Same lack of community response when a local kid died in police custody.
Over one hundred people opened this thread in nine hours, and only one person was brave enough to respond.
Guess it didn’t fit everyone elses narrative, so it’s ignored.

“Now…what can one conclude…”

Maybe because there was a legitimate reason for the encounter (a drug buy) and there is no video of the incident to contradict the officers account.

This wasn’t a random pulling over of a vehicle for a very minor offense (like Sandra Bland or the recent incident in Cinti.)

No video, although it is required by law.
So just going by the officers word, coroners report doesnt back that up.
Additionally, if this sting was legitimate and the officer actually was threatened, why would he not file a report?

EK, it does not help that the article you have in the OP is behind a paywall (or asks for registration for a free trial). Without knowing what is in the article, it is hard to get a meaningful discussion going.

So the issue seems that rogue cops can take off bodycams to avoid being caught in the illegal acts. No?

Really?
I c&p from phone, and I didnt do anything but click on it.
Sorry, Ill try to find another link.

This is the first I’ve heard of this story, is it being buried?

I get a popup asking to register on my iPhone that blocks the screen, and there is no way to bypass it.

I received a pop up in my iPhone. I clicked the close button on the top right. I’ve looked at the link a couple times now.

Additionally, I think the story is being buried. I tried to find more information through articles any many of them were from obscure sites and were very short. I still do not have a clear idea of what happened or was thought to happen.

For the greenville articke, a registration screen came up on my iphone, but I just clicked the x to close the window & it went away.

It works fine on a laptop.

Curious why the title of the thread says “Doesn’t report it”. To what does that refer?

I will try on my laptop later. No “x” on my iPhone screen.

The police officer filed a report saying he had arrested the woman passenger for drugs.
Did not file a report indicating the shooting of the driver.

BB, maybe try landscape
Mode?
Idk. I have an iphone 6plus, but I wouldnt think that should matter.

Thanks, dstark.

( My phone is older than dirt. )

The victim was a white, heterosexual male, as are most victims of police shootings. Move along, nothing to see here.

Is that information that you listed above the reason why you don’t think the story is being buried?

This story is appalling! The Raw Story linked by dstark is dated July 31st. When did this incident actually occur? I’ll be surprised if this one doesn’t also gain traction (as it should!). I can’t believe the arresting officer never even reported having discharged his weapon, much less having killed a “suspect”. The killing of the Cinncinatti motorist by Officer Tensing happened in mid-July, I think. It did not immediately garner national attention. It also had the advantage of having televisable video. There’s apparently no video to juice up the story of this kid’s death.

I believe an article said Sunday…but I am most likely wrong.

EDIT: Ok. Found a HuffPost article.
