Police officer shoots and kills teen. Doesn't report it.

The couple was sitting in the parking lot of the Hardees eating ice cream, they were apparently on a first date. The woman was unhurt, she was arrested and released after paying a $620.bond.

I have seen the story on my fb newsfeed for several days. I do think this story will grow.

Let’s hope, MizzBee. Let’s hope.

They were at the Hardees for a drug deal with an undercover officer. That’s quite a first date.

The boy may not have known that the woman was even planning to sell a substance that most people think should be legal, and which most states have legalized or decriminalized.
But even if he was, he was only 19. 19 yr olds aren’t known for their good judgement, but he certainly didn’t deserve to die for it.

Story still trying for traction.

Hammond’s death also highlights a truth many white Americans seem reluctant to face: that police violence can affect anyone – their white friends, cousins, brothers, sisters, even themselves. Though bad policing may take a disproportionate toll on communities of color, the calls for reform now being voiced loudest by people of color would benefit all of us.[/

Unfortunately for your theory, operating a vehicle in a threatening manner near a police officer is very much something you can (deserve) to die for.

The teen was shot at point blank range from the side.

There is * video*, it just hasn’t been released yet.

Doesnt sound like it will be released, " on the grounds that it incriminates police officers"?

The dash cam video needs to be released. Law enforcement overreach is law enforcement overreach, and it needs to stop. The fact that the kid may have been trying to sell pot doesn’t negate the value of his life. If the officer murdered him, it needs to be revealed. If the officer acted lawfully, he has nothing to fear, and that too will be revealed. Transparency in law enforcement is essential to public confidence in community policing. Release the damned video already!
