Poll: What math sequence were you in for school?

7th: Algebra 1
8th: Geometry
9th: Algebra 2/Trig H
10th: Precalc H
11th(next year): AP calc AB
12th: Nothing(Since our school only lets you take AP Calc BC if you had an 88% or higher in Pre-Calc H, i had an 85 both semesters -___-, and i dont wanna take STATS)

^ :frowning: I feel inferior now.

8th: Algebra I Honors
9th: Geometry Honors
10th: Algebra II Honors
11th: Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry Honors
12th: AP Calculus AB (our school doesn’t have BC)

In the sixth grade, I took the most advanced math that we offered. I don’t remember the name. Therefore, I was one year ahead of many others. In seventh grade, I took Algebra I (still one year ahead). In eighth grade I took Geometry (again, one year ahead). However, my Geometry teacher sucked, I got a B, and thought I needed Geometry to understand Algebra II. It was a stupid mistake. So, in ninth grade, I took Geometry Honors again (now I was on par with most others). Tenth grade I took Algebra II Honors. Eleventh grade I took Precalculus Honors and my senior year I took AP Calculus AB/BC.

7th - Pre-Algebra
8th - Geometry
9th - Algebra I
10th - Algebra 2 & Trig
11th - Pre-Calc
12th- AP Calc AB

6th Honors…math? I don’t even remember
7th Honors Pre-Alg, I think
8th Honors Alg
9th Geometry (1 yr ahead of most, but school doesn’t allow freshmen to take honors/AP courses)
10th AC Alg 2 (AC = accelerated = honors, 1 yr ahead of most)
11th AC “Intro to Analysis” (precal, 1 yr ahead of most)
12th AP BC Calc (open to those who got A’s in AC Alg 2 in 11th also, so we’re all caught up now I guess.)

8th - Algebra
9th - Honors Geometry
10th - Honors Algebra 2 with Trig
11th - Honors Precalculus
12th - AP Calculus BC

6th Summer: Intro to Algebra (Never did any HW so got a C…)
7th: Intro to Algebra
8th: Algebra (Same habit, no HW ever…)
8th Summer: Algebra
9th: Geometry
10th: Algebra 2
11th: Precalculus
12th: AP Calc (As of right now AB, but I will convince my counselor to let me take BC since I already know how to integrate and differentiate and I want to move on…)

Freshman: Honors Integrated Mathematics (Algebra 1 + Geometry)
Sophomore: Honors Algebra 2
Junior: Honors Precalculus with differential Calculus

Got a B- in Junior year, so I have to take Calc AB instead of BC, and I used to think I was good at Math.

8th Grade: Algebra I
9th Grade: Geometry
10th Grade: Algebra II/Trig
11th Grade: Precalc & AP Calc AB
12th Grade: Multivariate/Diff Eq (Might take BC exam)

7th: Pre-Algebra.
8th: Algebra I.
9th: Geometry.
10th: Honors Algebra II/Trig,
11th: Honors Pre-Calc.
12th: AP Calc AB.

9th: Algebra
10th: Geometry
11th: Algebra 2
12: Pre-Calc

And I’m perfectly fine with it :D

9th- Geometry
10th- Alg 2 H
11th- Trig/PreCal H and AP Stats
12th- Plan to tackle Calc BC

Regular:
7th-Pre-algebra
8th-Half of Alg I
9th-Half of Alg I
10th-Geometry
11th-Alg II
12th- maybe stats/trig?

7th & 8th - Pre-Algebra
9th - Algebra II HH
10th - Geometry HH
11th - Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus HH

I’m not sure about 12th grade. I know I’m taking some form of calculus, but whether it’s AB or BC depends on my performance in trig/pre-calc.

7th pre algebra
8th algebra
9th geometry
10th algebra 2
11th pre cal
12th calculus

7th Algebra I
8th Geometry
9th Algebra II/College Algebra/Trigonometry/Pre-Calc
10th Analytic Geometry/Discrete Math/Pre-Calc
11th Calc BC
12th Had the option to take Multivariable Calc and Linear Algebra but instead took both Physics C and AP Chem. Took Multivariable Calc/Linear Algebra/Differential Equations in college and taking Abstract Algebra and Complex Analysis next.

I moved around a lot, so my math schedule was screwed up by that.

5th-advanced math (group of six students sitting in the back of the Gifted enrichment (pre pre alg) math class self teaching ourselves geometry)
6th-Pre Algebra
7th/8th-Began in Alg I, then moved and was placed into pre pre algebra by new school. My parents were not amused, and thus I skipped a grade halfway through the year and was placed in gifted/talented Alg I.
9th-GT Geometry (with trig, cuz our class finished geometry 2 months early)
10th-GT Alg II
MOVED
11th-Math Analysis (Sem 1: Pre Calc, Sem 2: Calc A), majority of students were sophomores
12th-I will be taking Calc BC this year.

I wish I was taking all those uber hard classes y’all have taken. I was so bored with math until junior year =/

6th: Pre-Algebra with one quarter of Algebra I
7th: 7th Grade Math
8th: Pre-Algebra
9th: Algebra I
10th: Geometry
11th: Algebra II
12th: Algebra III

(I jumped about 3 years of math… sooo…)

Algebra 2, precalc, ap calc ab, ap calc bc

6th:Just regular elementary math with a small intro to some Pre-Alg topics.
7th:Honors Pre-Algebra
8th:Algebra I (didn’t offer Honors since most people were still stuck in Pre-Algebra)
9th:Pre-AP Geometry
Over the summer:Honors Algebra II
10th:Pre-AP Precalculus

Not sure about the rest of my math curriculum since I may take AP Calc BC over the summer, Not sure I’d be able to finish it though :P
