6: 6th grade math? Lol
7: skipped to Algebra 1
8: Geometry at the high school
9: Algebra 2
10: Moved. New school wouldn’t let me into Precalc without trig (trig was with precalc where I used to live) Had to take a yearlong trig course with remedial students, lol.
11: AP Stat and online Precalc
12: AP Calc (FINALLY).

I’m still a freshman so It could go multiple ways depending on what classes I do over the summer

A.
8th: Alg I

10: Alg II
11th: Precalc
12: Calc AB or BC

B. 10th: Precalc
11th: Calc AB
12th: Calc BC

C.
10th: Precalc
11th: Calc AB or BC
12th:nothing

6th- advanced math (no clue what that is)
7th- pre algebra
8th- algebra 1
9th- geometry honors and algebra 2 honors
10th- precalc honors
11th- calc ab first semester and calc bc second semester
12th- AP statistics and Multivariable Calculus at local college

9th: Algebra 1

11th: Pre Calc
12th: AP Calc AB

6th-math
7th-algebra 1

9th-modern algebra 2
10th-trig and precalc
11th-ap calc ab

7th grade: Algebra 1

9th grade (currently): Algebra 2
(what I should take the rest of high school)
10th grade: Honors Pre-Calc
11th grade: AP Calc BC
12th grade: AP Stats

I really screwed myself over by not indicating that I wanted to take Algebra I in 8th grade…darn low self esteem.

7th: advanced math
8th: pre-algebra
9th: algebra I (full year course)
10th: geometry
11th: algebra II
12th: precalc

It could have been:
7th: advanced math
8th: algebra I
9th: algebra II
10th: geometry
11th: precalculus
12th: calculus

Ooh mine has changed.

7 Algebra I
8 Geometry
9 Algebra II
10 Precalc
11 Calc AB/AP Stats
11-12 summer Calc II
12 Calc III/ODE

7 Algebra I
8 Geometry
9 Algebra II
10 Precalculus
11 Calculus BC
12 Multivariable/Linear Algebra

6- pre-algebra
7- algebra I
8- geometry
9- algebra II
10- pre-calc
11- AP calc AB
12- AP stats

Current junior

6th: same math as everyone
7th: w/advanced kids skipped one year
took placement test to skip another (both reaaaallly pointless maths)
CMIC 1 (w/advanced 8th graders)
8th: CMIC 2 at high school (just down the block, convenient!) + first semester of CMIC 3 (weird story…)
9th: 2nd semester CMIC 3/Trig pilot program
10th: pre-calc
11th: Calc BC
12th: maybe AP Stats if I can’t find anything else :p

CMIC stood for something I don’t care to remember. Essentially a new math program that would help us learn better (right…).

They pretty much mixed in lots of different maths fairly randomly. Despite not caring too much for the ordering, the books were exceedingly well written. If you cared to read them you could sometimes understand a lot more than was taught to you in class.

My freshmen year my class piloted two other books for a switch back to traditional math ordering: Algebra 1, Geometry, Trig, Pre-Calc.

I really missed the old books. They were only replaced because kids complained about how much they “sucked” when they were looking for an excuse as to why they wouldn’t even try to understand what was being taught.

As far as taking three semesters of math in one year: the high school I went to during 8th grade for math did the trimester system with four period days, also a program that was supposed to make us learn better. It completely backfired in more ways than I care to explain. The only possible benefit of it was negated by their scheduling. However, it allowed me to take 1.5 semesters of math in one year.

Luckily, I go to a high school with 6 periods :)

Ahhh, the wonderful high school mathematics education experience.
/sarcasm

My school system had an extremely messed up math pattern for regular ed students so:
7th:Pre-Algebra
8th: Two thirds of Alg I
9th: Repeated the 2nd third of Alg I even though I passed the first time followed by the final third.
10th:Geometry
11th: Algebra II
12th: Most likely Pre-Calc

7th: Algebra I
8th: Geometry
9th: Algebra II
10th: Pre-Cal AB (only juniors can take BC)
11th: AP Calculus AB (only seniors that took Pre-Cal BC can take this)
12th: Advanced Calculus (Calculus II essentially)

I’m only a sophomore so I may try to fit AP Stats in somewhere.
