Possible toget accepted for a Master's degree in translation after doing a Bachelor's in Psychology?

I’m from India and I’ve been told that getting a student’s visa for Canada while applying for MA in translation studies after doing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology is not possible? Is this true?

If you want to get a student visa, then you need to first be accepted to a degree program in the country (and I think that you might also need to put down your deposit to hold a spot at the university that you choose). My daughter was recently accepted to several universities in Canada. While she has dual citizenship (including Canadian), since we are from the US two of the schools somehow missed the fact that she has citizenship, and along with her acceptance letter also sent information regarding how to apply for a student visa.

In terms of whether you can get accepted with a change in major, I would recommend that you ask admission’s staff at universities that you are interested in. It might depend upon how much coursework you have done in the relevant field, and for translation might also depend upon your proficiency in multiple languages.
