I love super creamy French cheeses. Especially warm. Foooooodgasmmmmm.

Ate some extra strong blue stilton once by mistake when I was eight, I’ve been put off of exotic cheeses ever since.

^ Really? That’s too bad, because yak cheese tastes awesome. My dad once went to Nepal and brought a huge chunk of it back home for us :D

^ Yak cheese… I’m not going to lie, that sounds awful.

^^ Oh, people were talking about that in my Spanish class the other day. Apparently yak cheese is good, but yak milk tastes awful?

^^ Lol, I thought it would be really bad too when he first brought it back. But then I ate some and it wasn’t even half as bad as what I was expecting.

I suppose the Yak has the opposite effect of the Polar Bear. People thik Yak are ugly (yet I doubt most people could draw a Yak that didn’t isn’t based on another animal like a wooly mammoth) and therefore think they are dirty and stuff. Not that people eat Polar Bear but I’m sure that the Polar Bear you picture in your mind is not much different than the CGI ones that appear Coca-Cola commercials.

My friend ate one of those after we came back from a field trip one day! She normally had steamed-looking bread (she and others inform me that ovens are not used in traditional Chinese cooking?) and rice, so this was all special and delicious looking.

As for cheese, I think my fave is Boucheron, followed by string cheese (but only certain kinds. Most kinds directed toward kids are high in cals and taste like plastic), followed by mizithra, which is this delicious hard Greek cheese, a lot like Parmesan, but a bit saltier and creamier in flavor, though not in consistency. Brie makes me want to chunder everywhere.

Are those the things that you fill with duck… Those are AMAZING!

^I tried to figure out its name on Wikipedia, but the pictures just made me hungry. Time for breakfast!

All this talk about food is making me hungry. BTW TYIL, I believe your dad posts on CC. He (or at least I think) posted in the Harvard 2015 thread, and I thought his description of his son sounded REALLY familiar… :p

^^ Isn’t it a little late for Breakfast? Oh wait I forgot… You’re on summer break and you live in Ohio, so it’s 10:15 AM, a fair enough time for breakfast.

^^ Haha… it’s not my dad. It’s the dad of a kid who I met at a UChicago admitted students weekend who has a lot in common with me.

^^Ohio is on EST so it’s 11:20. Yes, late for breakfast, but I’m a slacker. I also watched True Blood before this and wished people FB happy birthdays. So it’s not like I sleep this late. Well, not every day.

^^ Wow. The resemblance is almost creepy (I think he talked about his son having interests in “pure math” and “music composition” and attending school in England) o.o

^ We also have the same first name. But I assure you that we are not the same person!

^
whoaaa creeepy :)

I’m pretty sure no one here has same name and same interests as me!

GRrrr I wish I could have a huge meal but it’s too late.
I guess I’ll just wait till it’s morning…

HmmmMMMmmmYAY! Apple has started its get-a-free-iPod-touch-with-your-laptop thing! No longer shall I be iPod-touch-less, which is a state I have been in since I stupidly lost my purse at some silly K∑ party at MIT in early April. I think I might go buy a computer today. Or maybe tomorrow, since my father wants to “spend time with me.” Really, he just wants to take me golfing, which is a lolno for me.

^ Millancad? A frat party? gasp there goes there goes your semi-prudish venir…

^I went to… quite a few frat parties at MIT. But Campus Preview Weekend is like Las Vegas, but a little better: not only does what happens stay there, it also doesn’t count.
