<p>Random thought of the day: I’m incredibly THRILLED because I just heard today that my application for U.S. permanent resident status has been officially APPROVED!! 
(I’m a Canadian citizen) Now financial aid won’t be such a hassle…</p>

<p>^ I was thinking of 2 Ivies and various other top tier schools like UCB and Chicago… but I was always concerned that I was shooting too high since I would be applying as an international. So hearing the news today was a huge relief :)</p>

<p>At least you wouldn’t have been applying as a candidate from say, Beijing or somewhere similar.</p>
<p>UCB = UC Berkeley, and the 2 Ivies I’ve had my eye on for a while now are Harvard and Columbia.</p>

<p>:{ columbia: they have flags up for when you can go on the small grass. plus its like you can’t walk around all student like(sweatshirt, hair not done, etc) or so ive heard.</p>
<p>^ I actually haven’t heard of that before. But I love the urban location, the Columbia Core, and the plethora of internship/work opportunities, so I guess it’ll all cancel out in the end :D</p>
