Postseason Baseball 2010

LOL, I admit that the stress was getting to me, so we watched last week’s episode of *Modern Family *on the DVR…just enough time to miss the big miscommunication. Sounds like those managers need to learn to send text messages.

Did you see the article in the *New York Times *magazine about the Thrill of Defeat? It made an excellent point:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/23/magazine/the-thrill-of-defeat-for-sports-fans.html?_r=1&ref=magazine

Is it just me or was that snarky? I don’t like writers who make fun of their bread and butter.

Oh, my. We were out of town yesterday. Sounds like we missed another good game.

Good to have a World Series that’s at least a contest. Better than the lopsided Super Bowls we have to endure some years.

I, and the ladies at my office, are thankful for this night of rest. We admit that these games are wearing us out! That said, I do hope the rain goes away and they are able to play tomorrow.

Me, too! I have big event Thursday night that I can’t get out of and don’t want to miss the game – if one is still being played, that is. ;)

This morning, there was more talk on our local news about the St. Louis weather than the Dallas weather. On Monday night my dad (who lives near St. L) predicted a rain out for tonight.

I admit that I don’t watch a lot of baseball. But watching these games, it’s amazing how much I absorbed as a little girl. (I do remember the '67 and '68 Series, when teachers checked their transistor radios for scores.)

Missypie - I went to a Catholic school and the NUNS played the radio in the classroom.

The rain chances are actually lower today than they had originally predicted. I SOOO want this game played tonight.

I just heard on the radio that it has been delayed until tomorrow. Oh well, maybe I’ll get some stuff done tonight.

I know. I am so bummed. I hate that I’m going to miss some of this game, but I’ve told the others at tomorrow’s mtg that I am leaving at 8 and that they can carry on without me.

They seem to have called it early, no?

[Amid high drama, low ratings serve as Series caveat ? USATODAY.com](http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/story/2011-10-26/america-isnt-tuning-in-to-exciting-world-series/50921384/1)

Kind of a shame that more aren’t interested in this series. It’s been pretty entertaining, in my opinion.

With the forecast, they’ve been saying all day that they were going to make a decision several hours prior to gametime. They have no interest in starting and stopping the game if they can avoid it…

Came home last night to hear husband bemoan the fact that he accidentally saw some of Glee when he tuned in to watch the Series. Seems the game was rained out last night, and can you imagine all the men who taped it, only to find Glee instead.

Looking forward to an exciting game tonight! Tied score at the top of the 5th!

Just got home in time to see that error top of the 5th. Buck makes it sound likes it’s been a really sloppy game. I don’t care as long as my team wins. :D

It’s been an interesting game. Lots of errors, lots of good plays. It’s still close, though. Go Texas! :)

Geez, don’t these guys know that people have to get up in the morning?! ;)

I am loving this. Having Lance batting behind Pujols was a great move.

I am really enjoying Ron Washington’s enthusiasm, as well as Ian Kinsler’s. Those guys are having the time of their life.

No matter who wins, it has been a great series, one to remember for sure!

Boy, the fans in St. Louis are getting their money’s worth tonight!

Put me out of my misery. But only if it means a Rangers win.
