Wow am I not sleepy anymore!
It took the Yankees over 4 hours tonite to beat Boston 4-3 in extra innings.
Raul Ibanez hit the two run homer in the bottom of the ninth to keep the Yankees in the game and then the little single to win it in the 12th(?).

One more game to go in the regular season. Can’t remember when so many races went down to the wire like this.

Anyone else finding it hard to turn the game off?

All playoff teams are determined. However, all of the AL teams except Detroit will be playing for division titles versus wild card positioning. In the NL, Washington and Cincinnati will be playing for first versus second seed.

I am an eternal optimist. My Pirates will be in the playoffs next year. Andrew McCutcheon will win the batting title and be MVP and James Macdonald will win the Cy Young. Or maybe we will continue our record for the longest losing record of ANY major sports team. Win or lose, I love my Pirates!

My only interest in postseason baseball is waiting to see if R.A. Dickey wins the Cy Young award. Since DH is a Yankee fan, baseball wil be alive and well in my house for awhile…maybe.

After seeing the movie Knuckleball, I’ve become an R.A. Dickey fan too. I hope he gets the Cy Young award. My team (Red Sox) is out. My H loves baseball, so we’ll be watching the post season no matter which team is in it.

My Tigers made it. For the amount of talent we have on the team, it should not have been a nailbiter. I am one of those who firmly believes Leyland needs to go.

Now that I don’t have any hockey to watch on TV, and the Lions are painful to watch, baseball post season it is!
