It is pouring rain here in NW CT…and mighty windy too. We’ve been lucky so far, and still have power. Where did this rainstorm come from?

We’ve got the same thing in southern Maine. I had to drive my daughter to her piano lesson in the storm. The highway was bad!

When I left the gym tonight, I couldn’t open the door because of the wind. And then I couldn’t close the door, because of the wind.

So much for getting strong at the gym.

here too, in VT. Our power went out briefly. This was predicted here.

In New Haven, we have a good wind, but only light rain.

Can you send some our way? We’ve been dry, dry, dry!

stradmom, wait 20 minutes. It’s really something.

Yeah Thumper, it sure is nasty out! Getting windier by the minute. I wonder when the worst is supposed to be?

Down south, we had that storm early this afternoon…right about the time my co-workers and I had to walk twenty five preschoolers to their moms in carpool line.

It was raining/blowing so hard that those kids didn’t have a chance. We ended up having to pick them up and carry them down the sidewalks to their mother’s waiting cars. Ended up soaked from head to toe.

My mother in CT said that the weather was very peculiar, with a hurricane feel, and there was yet another tornado warning. Very unusual.

Personally, I was running around in the pouring rain this evening trying to herd wayward hens.

Very strong wind in Boston, and it’s been looking like it will rain without actually raining. I wore rainboots to go out a little while ago because I was positive that I’d be stuck in a downpour.

got it in DC today… made it to my car just in time. Started pouring a minute or two later. Conveniently, it had basically stopped at my apartment by the time I got there. Some interesting moments on the road though.

AND THE IDIOTS WITHOUT THEIR HEADLIGHTS ON… ugh

I think the worst of the torrential rain has stopped, but high wind warnings are around until tomorrow morning. The good news is that the weather is supposed to be nice fall like for the rest of the week.

We didn’t lose our power…yet!

I hope the wind doesn’t damage the apples on the trees. We are planning to head to our favorite orchard this weekend.

I lied…it’s pouring…again!

By midnight we might have another storm.

Well, I’m in Seattle, and it’s just sun, sun, sun every day. 80 degrees tomorrow, and no rain in sight. I’m sick of having to water the plants, when will we ever have some rain? We’ve gone almost two months with beautiful weather and barely any rain. I miss seeing the clouds (not).

Okay, normally I wouldn’t be rubbing this in, but it’s such a strange anomaly, I couldn’t resist. I’ll probably never be able to say those words again.

I wouldn’t mind the dryness, but it’s also COLD here. Dropping down into the 30s tonight. In SEPTEMBER. The rain that hit there must’ve been from the same cold front.

This weather. Oy.

It was 102 in S. Cal. this past weekend. Now in N. Cal. it is nice and cool at night, sunny during the day.

Omg bus driver! Don’t tempt fate!
You know payback is going to come in January. ( & February, & March, and…)

What would we all do without the changes we get from good old fashioned weather.
